181 reviewsA brilliant location for a perfect getaway before Christmas. A little off the beaten track but a wonderful and peaceful hideaway close to the village where you could wander down for an evening meal at the Ristorante Al Vecchio Forno ( would recommend this restaurant too but wasn't impressed by the Trattoria Pizzeria Nuova Marconi a bit further down the road you needed to drive to) Franchesca who ran the Platani Resort was an excellent host and her wine collection and cheese and ham platters are excellent. She was very helpful in answering our many questions about the area and made great recommendations. The Christmas markets on the edges of Lake Garda, a short drive away were perfect artisan markets that were small but not too busy . There were some bigger ones but we avoided them as they looked overcrowded and exceptionally busy.The breakfast had a great choice and was a great quality too.Franchesca was very kind too on the day we left as she made breakfast a little bit earlier than she normally would as we had to leave for a morning flight. It was warm and cosy both in the room and in the dining room too. Listening to Franchesca play the piano at breakfast one morning was certainly an outstanding memorable moment . You would definitely need a car if you stay here but it is close enough to Lake Garda and Verona. Thank you Franchesca, we loved our weekend break.
