Hotel Cannes

Holiday brochures always talk about hotels having "that family feeling" but I've never felt it before until I stayed at the Hotel Cannes last year. Dianella and her brother Ettore go out of their way to make you feel totally at home and part of the Hotel Cannes family without being too in your face. And its clear that it works as some of their customers are now third generation visitors having been brought by their parents, who in turn were brought by their parents back in the 1960s!! Dianella is great with everyone - often on first name terms - and attentive, making sure your stay is just lovely. But that's not all! The hotel provides full board food and even has its own pastry chef in an already good kitchen - if you love Italian food, especially local Romagnolo food, you are going to be in heaven with handmade pasta, seafood and cakes!! But oh, the cakes......mmmm, delicious!!!! The hotel is situated on one of the old streets leading down to the beach so there is no traffic noise and you're literally 2 minutes from the 7km long white sandy beach! Plus there's plenty to do with day trips inland if you need to have a day out of the sun! The rooms are comfortable, with a TV and aircon, but you'll be on the beach all day rather than spending lots of time in your room! And the jacuzzis on the sun deck are great too! The only tiny thing that I'd change would be to have wifi in the rooms but we managed with wifi in the hotel bar & lobby and it meant that we got a break from the internet which was actually quite nice! Its a great place for a fabulous family or friends holiday and perfect to relax! Loved our stay!!
