Agriturismo Bellarosa

Bellarosa is a true agritismo, Which means it is a working farm. The farm is surrounded by fields. The rooms/guest quarters are very nice. The guest building has been restored and the workmanship is to be commended. The craftsmanship and quality is in the rooms. The kitchen area is well appointed with everything you need. You prepare your continental breakfast and make your own coffee, For us, this was great. Your given all the supplies you need for a simple breakfast, toast jams and honey coffee and milk. If you want more and want to stock up, there is a supermarket short distance up the road on your way to Bastia. Your bedroom looks out to Assisi, a wonderful view over the fields. Bellarosa is in Costano, within the commune of Bastia. Very conveniently located to hope on the superstrada is you want to take day trips to towns like Orvieto, Gubbio , Sienna etc. It is also located within just a few minutes (15-30 minutes) drive to several wonderful hill towns and vineyards/wineries. Be prepared to taste some wonderful wines. Assisi is about 20 minutes away and to see it properly expect to spend the entire day. Sergio and his family and try and do everything possible to make your stay wonderful. Sergio speaks the most English, but remember your in Italy and you should try to experience the language as well as the food. A tablet or smart phone with google translate works wonders. You don't need an alarm clock, the rooster works just fine and after 6 or 7 cock-a-doodle doos it has a built in snooze alarm. I really enjoyed this. Remember your on a farm, not a hotel where they turn down your sheets. Overall a great place to stay at a very good price in a wonderful location
