If you find yourself in Chieti, Italy, Il Viale B&B is an excellent home base run by a father, Giuseppe, & son, Matteo. They are happy to give recommendations for dining, offer advice on best public transport for your destination & above all run a clean, quiet, comfortable bed & breakfast. Matteo has excellent English. They are not on-site so it is better to telephone when you arrive. Someone will be with you in minutes. Also, breakfast is not served in-house but at a coffee bar in the square. I found this an excellent plan as you can mingle with locals. A better experience overall to be in the center of a typical day.
