Heather Lodge Country House

Just returned from a 2 week stay at this fabulous Airbnb. We were a group of 8 friends, 4 couples . From my initial conversation with Jane , the owner, to the time of our departure, everything was perfect for us. We checked in late the night we arrived and Jane had fresh bread, milk, tea,coffee, biscuits, cake ,fruit and even a big bowl of fresh eggs from the hens outside, all awaiting us. A great start after a long journey to Clifden. The house has 5 ensuite bedrooms, 4 of which overlook the lake, all very tastefully decorated, with one of those rooms on the ground floor, actually like a suite with interconnecting rooms. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for a large group. A dining table for 10 people overlooks the lake to the front of the house, and a patio area at the back has an outdoor table for 8 and a BBQ, which we used most nights. There are 2 sitting rooms and a games room cum sitting area, so plenty of space for everyone. Jane the owner lives in a separate annexe at the back of the house,was there for us if we needed her or had any questions and even brought us homemade bread and fresh eggs a couple of times during our stay. I cannot recommend this house highly enough, all of our group were delighted with it and we could not have asked for more.....an ideal house for a large group and very close to Clifden town. Thanks again Jane for such warm hospitality. Your house really is a Home from Home !!
