Myself and my sister stayed at this lovely b/b on the shores of Lough Corrib for 2 nights , we were greeted by a very friendly host with his two lovely well behaved dogs Billy and Zola 
We were shown to our very large room and was told where all the facilities were . 
There was tea making facilities supplied .
Our breakfast was delicious and we were asked if we needed any more tea or coffee.
When we were leaving , our host gave us a cutting of a very large plant which we had previously admired 
We thanked him for a lovely stay and would certainly recommend this lovely B/B

I love that this hotel was family run. The proprietors were very friendly. The Irish breakfast is amazing! The hotel is quirky and the rooms are spacious. I booked a room for 2 rooms for 3 and one room would have been big enough!#

There is not really much I can fault about this hotel, only that a CAR IS REQUIRED TO NAVIGATE AROUND.

Have just spent a few days in Lakeland on a fishing trip with a group of friends. A very comfortable, friendly and relaxing lodge run with expert good humour by Ann and Gary. Rooms are well appointed maintained, the beds are a perfect refuge after a long day on the lake. About half of them have stunning lake views. There is free WiFi for those who can’t live without it! Breakfast is very good, a big and tasty ‘full Irish’ is the norm but a request for something to suit those with more dainty appetites will not be ignored!
For the anglers among you Gary can organize boats, guides and packed lunches. All of this is right beside the house at the end of the garden.Wet gear and rods can be stored in the rod room.
The house is about 5 minutes drive from Oughterard where there are plenty of places to eat and enjoy a pint at the end of the day (don’t worry taxis are available). There are plenty of things to do and see in the area but you’ll need transport. Don’t miss Aughnanure Castle, well worth a visit.
This is a place that soaks up stress and restores calm, a real sanctuary for the fisherman and those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle.

We stayed here recently. Great location overlooking the Lough. It can be a bit tricky to find as its located more or less at the end of a one track road but I think it adds to the charm and experience of the place.
The room was fairly large and the bed was very comfortable. we had a sound sleep each night. The room was well quipped with power points and a small tv. The bathroom consists of 2 wash basins, a WC and shower cubicle. There's large french doors with side windows which give a stunning view of the Lough from the room, there is also decking outside these doors and garden furniture for use in the summer. Also there's some car parking spaces which is very convenient for leaving the car and carrying luggage. 
In the mornings we were greeted by a cheery good morning from Garry the owner who cooked us breakfast. While eating breakfast we able to gaze across the Lough and also watch the birds coming to the feeder in front of the window for their breakfast. Its so peaceful and the air is so fresh. 
October is fairly quiet for the hotel, it gets busy from May onwards and though I don't fish, I would say it must be a delight to go out on the Lough fishing.
If you want to get away from it, this is the place. 
While in this area you can also visit The Quiet Man bridge which was featured in the film of that name starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. Unspoilt beautiful area.

Location & place very peaceful. Lovely spot in good weather.  We were in a Lakeside room & the table/chairs on decking were appreciated. Good bed with enough space to do yoga in the room. Not far from Oughterard on the lake. a fair bit down a small road. Very short walk to lake from the decking. Host very helpful. Breakfast nice in room overlooking bird-table & garden with nice flowering shrubs. Interesting artefacts. Would recommend & come back.

We had one of the suites overlooking the lake, and I have to say it was really nice.  The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room very spacious.  It also had double patio doors opening up on to a veranda with a view to the lake beyond.

The bedrooms were neat and clean, and the towels were changed daily.  

Gary, the owner / landlord, has a wry sense of humour, and is very helpful and informative if you need guidance or suggestions.  He also keeps at least one outboard boat at the lake shore which can be rented out for €10 an hour, although we didn't partake.

The full Irish breakfast was tasty and palatable, and cooked to perfection.

Excellent value at €70 a night for two people.
