Maldron Hotel Parnell Square Dublin City

A clean, modern hotel. The staff are very helpful when approached. Room amenities are good, TV (showing Irish TV only), kettle, tea, coffee etc. Free bottled water and biscuits are also provided on a daily basis. Bathroom was as good as a bathroom gets in a hotel. I completed online check in (and out), the terminals in the hotel are great and easy to use. I did like that you can code a card for each visitor, making it easy when one leaves the room as a card is needed to power the room. We had prepaid breakfast, a full cooked Irish breakfast is available along with a very good range for the continental side of things. My only gripe were the coffee machines, the coffee was tasteless, more like an American blend, I do prefer something much stronger with more flavour but that is entirely subjective. It takes around ten mins to walk to Connelly Street (to the vicinity of the Dublin Spire), and around another 10-15 minutes to walk to the Temple Quay ‘area’, at a brisk walk. There is a busy bus ‘station’ 3 mins down the road, but I never used it so I am unsure where the buses go from there. As long as you don’t mind staying a little way out from the centre, this is a great hotel and would happily stay at again.
