The Black Sheep Hostel

I had the pleasure to stay in a very cozy and stunning private apartment which made it really worth. Highly recommended and surely you will be amazed. Staff were very friendly and helpful showing us around which made us feel very welcomed. Definitely coming back!

Amazing hostel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are cleaned well. The location is right in the heart of Killarney and close to many shops and restaurants. Breakfast is included in the cost of the dorm and the common areas are very cozy. They also have bikes for rent which are in green shape and offered at a good price. Best of all, there are 4 adorable dogs that hang out in the common areas.

I went to this hostel last July (2022). It was amazing. The people were very friendly, the rooms were clean and the beds are great. They help you and give information about what to do and to see. Its only now that I have travelled to a lot of other hostels that I fully realise how great it was over there. I will go back there in the future! 

This hostel is located in the town of Killarney, very close to pubs, restaurants, shops etc. Room was perfect for our trip and they had a nice sitting room with a fire going if you wanted to get out of the room and relax in the hostel. We stayed for 2 nights and would definitely stay here again. Would highly recommend

This was the best hostel I’ve ever been to. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the beds were clean and had curtains that offered a lot of privacy. The free breakfast in the morning was great (with fresh baked brown bread!) and they had lots of free food you could use in the kitchen including fresh eggs from their chickens! I’d come back to Killarney for this hostel alone

This is a super friendly, laid back hostel. Eclectic decor with well appointed communal areas. Beds are comfortable and staff are kind and helpful. Cute dachshunds running around add to the fun 🥰 Will definitely stay again!

My daughter and I stayed in the private double room and truly loved this hostel.  Very warm and inviting.  The creativity of the design of the hostel was so fun to see.  Creative touches everywhere.  It is located very close to the Park and you can rent bikes from the hostel...we did this and highly recommend.

We spent some wonderful days at the blacksheep hostel in killarney. The hostel is  decorated really nice and equipped with everything you need. Also everything is clean and in a good condition. The people there are kind and the staff is amazing. They are always really friendly and also provide a lot of ideas what you can do in the area. Renting bikes worked out so good, just like everything else :)

one of the best hostels i’ve stayed in. Great location within the town , very professionally run by kevin and his team , comfortable rooms and good mattresses . Lovely communal facilities , kitchen and chill put lounge . Extended my stay while there and highly recommend anyone to stay there . Great staff included Claus and Jacob . Enjoy your time there

I give this hostel 5* as for the price I just can not see how one could get better. Free parking nearby, a very short walk into town, a superb vibe, friendly staff, breakfast included in the price. 

I was in the top bunk of a mixed dorm so wasn't the easiest place to manouvre and get dressed, while the shower rooms were very cramped. Having said that, for the price was very difficult to complain.

Staff very friendly and polite and a great garden out the back. After a hike up Carrauntoohil this was a perfect choice and the shower was good and hot.

Best Hostel in Ireland 🇮🇪

Fully equipped and clean kitchen it’s nice, free food which is also nice.
Rooms are clean but we didn’t like the fact that the bed are made of wood (more chances to have bedbugs- LET BE CLEAR THERE IS NONE). If you are at the last floor internet doesn’t reach your room and you might have to go outside of your room to have any. The sheets were clean and the is a plastic matress cover.
Shower and bathroom are clean, hand towels and bath rug changed ever day.
The water of the shower is very hot and have to push the button to have water (many many many times).
The coffee (coffee shop)there is also very good.
Fresh (free) chicken eggs which we loved.
 
Only weird thing is that in the backyard there is a couple tents !?

Great Vibe, real value

I like the whole idea behind the hostel business. I could see the staff's passion for what they are doing . Everything is clean and well maintained. They care a lot for the guest's comfort. They provided guidance for local things around to see. The more you stay there, the more you feel like in a family.
I definitely recommend the place for every trip you make in Killarney.
