If you aren't picky, go for it. It's cleanish, newish, friendlyish... etc. The son speaks English, but no guarantees. There are food choices close (both street and restaurant (we ate at xing jang satay on Blvd Raya)) There is a well stocked corner store close (Blvd Raya near Xin Jang) Bluebird taxi should be less than 200k from airport. We got hosed. Pros: Price Air conditioned room Hot water shower (not really needed, but turn it up to hot and it should last a full shower) Cons: Stairs (we were on fourth floor with lots of luggage) Bring your own toilet paper if you are shy to use the hose Our room had a water pump in the ceiling of the bathroom that kicked on and off all night and we used earplugs Would we stay again? Yes. But only because it was near where an assembly we were attending. Remember / you aren't in America / Europe/ don't expect things to be the same as if you were.
