Yoga Searcher Bali

Lovely alternative place to stay, especially if you want a little bit of luxury, a small scale quiet and friendly resort, access to a fab Yoga Shala and some healthy delicious veggy food. The wooden cottages are a delight and feel like staying in 5 star luxury, but with a bit of character. Open your door and there is the pool, hardly ever anyone in it, pick a hammock or a sun lounger and chill. Yoga classes 3 times a day, we are complete beginners but were made to feel welcome (thanks Brian!) and the setting is so much nicer than yoga in a gym. We aren't vegetarian but we loved the kitchen, both for breakfasts and for dinners, amazing food. We happened to be there on a Tuesday which is one of the 2 nights a week they run a sauna/steam detox evening and it was free to us. The sauna was hot but the steam room was exceptional, hard to breathe in there, no messing, and then a dunk in an ice pool outside followed by a hot pool, and then sit by the fire. Was the highlight of our stay. We did try the spa also, which was ok but not as good as the nearby day spa's. All in all a wonderful stay. Liitle things like you could take breakfast at any time of the day, meant you could do yoga and then have a brunch, great idea! So much nicer and more interesting than staying at one of the larger chain hotels.
