Fantastic
1595 reviewsI recently had the pleasure of experiencing the All You Can Eat (AYCE) promotion at Hotel Harper Malioboro Yogyakarta, and I was thoroughly impressed by both the quality of service and the variety of dishes offered. Although I was not a hotel guest, I received the same courteous and attentive treatment as any other guest. This egalitarian approach left a lasting positive impression on me. I chose to take advantage of the AYCE promotion during breakfast hours, and I was genuinely amazed by the wide array of food selections available. The hotel serves an impressive variety of dishes, ranging from traditional Indonesian cuisine to Middle Eastern, Western, and Fusion specialties. In addition, there were various salad options, a selection of porridges (locally known as jenang), and traditional Indonesian drinks like jamu, both bottled and freshly made. Several types of traditional hot drinks (wedang) were also available, further enhancing the rich local culinary experience. A particularly commendable aspect is the hotel’s consideration for guests with special dietary needs. There are ample vegan options, making it accessible to those who abstain from animal products. Moreover, the live cooking station, where guests can watch their meals being prepared in real time, adds an interactive and exclusive touch to the dining experience. The diverse assortment of pastries, including both traditional and Western options, further elevated my breakfast experience. The availability of ice cream machines, popcorn makers, and juicers ensured that there were even more delightful culinary options to explore. The restaurant’s ambiance deserves high praise as well. Guests can choose between the air-conditioned indoor seating, which offers a cool, relaxed atmosphere, and the outdoor area, which accommodates smokers. Both options provide comfort and convenience depending on personal preferences. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the staff for their exceptional service. Specifically: • Lisa, who was dressed in black and was always quick to assist. • Desi, who warmly helped me with the reservation process. And the other waiters dressed in white, grey, and black uniforms, whose names I couldn’t catch, but whose service was exemplary. Thank you all for making my dining experience so enjoyable. As for the AYCE promotion, I found the price of IDR 80,000 per person (including tax) to be remarkably affordable. For a four-star hotel, this price is exceptionally reasonable, especially given the extensive and high-quality food selection. It’s an offer that is hard to pass up for anyone seeking the experience of dining at a four-star hotel at such a budget-friendly rate. My favorite dishes during breakfast included the mini pizza, fried banana, beef lung satay, pancakes, pastries, and fish roulade—all of which were excellently prepared and delicious. As for beverages, I particularly enjoyed the jamu “Pegal Linu” mixed with duck egg, lemon tea, infused water, and refreshing ice cream. Overall, my breakfast experience at Hotel Harper Malioboro was deeply satisfying in every respect, from the impeccable service to the ambiance and the quality of the food. I highly recommend this AYCE promotion to anyone looking to enjoy a wide variety of breakfast options in a comfortable setting without needing to stay overnight at the hotel. The price is more than fair for the experience provided. - Thoriq Dzaki
