5 reviewsHi I am Harinarayanan from Kerala India . I visited Kashmir with family in last week of May 19 . Visit to Kasmir was a long cherished dream for me . Each time when I plan there will be some incident and the media reports scared me to go there . What I found was it was ignoramus on my part that I postponed my visit unnecessarily many a time. There might have been incidents in the past but I think hings are different now. At airport we were greeted by Mr. Firdous our host , thereafter he saw to it that our tour progress well. Though he was on fasting on these days being Ramadan, he was with us during the whole trip. The room at Hotel Basera was clean neat and tidy , wash room was spic and span with hot water available all the time. The breakfast was very good and Dinner ...excellent with different type of dishes each day . Staff were polite and caring . all these at an amazingly budget price . At the end of the tour I had to agree with the opinion of Mr. Firdous that the media hype on Kashmir is in fact making tourists averse to Kashmir and literally affect the tourism industry badly. Without a wink of an eye I can say it was a memorable trip. A big thank you Firdous
