A best place to stay at Darjeeling if you really wanna feel "home away from home". 
Serenity home stay is situated just near the Darjeeling Heritage station. If you drop at the station while coming from Siliguri u need to just cross the road and climb up about 200 MTR. 
Mr. Sanjay and his wife Ms. Vicky both are awesome hosts, it started with an an wow factor from the step in itself. Vijay is the assistant of them, verily soft spoken and excellent in behavior, always ready to help attitude.
The room has all the amenities, including 24 hrs hot water, nice comfy bed, bathroom slippers, bathroom amenities etc. Food is absolutely homely with a great taste. Sight seeing can be done thru them also. Mall is very near just abt 10 mins walking , on the way to mall u will get Kaventers as well Glenary's, to stop over for sumptuous English breakfast and mouth watering bakery items.
In a word it was a great place to stay and rejuvenate urself at Darjeeling.

We stayed 4 nights and have to say, we had a very comfortable stay. Management team were very friendly and food was tasty. It's a small hotel or should I say homestay, managed by husband and wife but they are very friendly couple. Ambience was very nice. Simply go for it if you are couple or family. View of mountain from balcony was spectacular. Common facilities like hot water and WiFi are present 24 hours. Overall it's thumbs-up.

It was wonderful experience while staying in serenity home.the hotel is located to the marketplace.Room were cleaned  well maintained . Specially the food was really testy & homely at reasonable rate.All the staff were very helpful and co-operative .Really I love this place it was my homely stay at Darjeeling.

Serenity Home Darjeeling is a good location place for a short stay .Walkable distance from city center and Mall.The homestay is in 3rd floor of an apartment complex and has around 3-4 rooms.Sanjay and Vicky takes care of the home stay and they are very helpfull in arranging things during your stay.We stayed in the room with balcony and it has very good view of mountains, clouds .Near by schools and surroundings are very live. Recommended for friends groups and couples for short stays.

water heater was not working in our room and they have arranged to use from other room.we were luck as they were no one in next room. :- ) Hope they will fix it soon.

Homely place to stay for families and couples.

Feel like homely stay at serenity home

good homestay for a short stay

Stayed during May22 end. Property is a homestay in the 3rd floor of a building. Consisting of 4 rooms. We booked room with balcony. Rooms are okies find of. Furniture are bit old and may need replacement. Balcony is covered and blocks the view to some extend. Washroom is neat and clean with geyser facility. Owner also stays in the same floor and is very helpful. Inhouse food is okies and bit costly. They have 2 helpers who are good and can bring food from outside also. Free Wifi facility avaiable.

OKies kind of stay

I would rate this Homestay 3.5 out of 5 because of their hospitality and food. Rooms were average. Bathroom get a low rating because of very small in size. Towels provided should have been properly cleaned. The biggest problem was to climb 3rd floor since it does not have a lift. Location could have been better. The Mall is 10-15 minutes walk the homestay. I would say I had an average experience with this place. Few things I like a lot and few I do not. They have free WiFi.

Good Hospitality

Had been to Darjeeling in the month of June 2016. The room was good, neat and clean. We had booked for the non-balcony room but the owners gave us the Balcony room for the same price. Breakfast was good. The cook and the guy who took us sightseeing were very friendly, patient and sweet towards us. Vicky & Sanjay were very helpful with the sightseeing and shopping options in Darjeeling. The only drawback is the rooms are on the 3rd Floor and after a long tiring day you will have to climb three floors. So be ready for that. Hot water, TV, drinking water is all available. Nice quiet place to relax. We will definitely visit you guys again :)

Overall A Good Experience

The owner Sanjay took very good care of us. The hotel has a cleanliness issue though. I'd recommend it to youngters as they  hop around too much. I was looking for a relaxing getaway from city life but wasnt satisfied with their infrastructure as it is very poorly maintained and doesn't look anything like in the photos. I've stayed in homestays before in Kerala and Himachal so i assumed it'll be good, i think a person should prefer hotels in darjeeling.

Gorgeous View but cleanliness problem

We (family of four) stayed here for two night i.e 15th-16thOct.Below are positives and negatives about the stay

Positives:

The rooms have a very good view of Kanchenjunga.

The TV has almost all channels (rare for many budget hotels),but im sure when in Darjeeling TV is not an important factor.

Negatives: 

I always do a lot of research before i book any hotel, and everyone on tripadvisor said the hotel is really good,best place ,homely stay but i didnt feel it deserved good comments. Below are the list of things you should avoid the hotel for.

The place is located way too down the hill where cars don't go and is on the third floor. Not ideal for people with knee or walking issues.

The hotel is very low on maintenance. The blankets are very old and seem very unhygienic.The dustbins covers are not changed, and merely emptied. The bathrooms smell. We took two rooms and both of them had the same problem. The flooring is carpeted and unless its a 5 star hotel, carpet flooring is a bad idea because the room gives a damp and congested feel.We had the same issue here.

The owners are slightly money minded and so the deals they provide for car services are not satisfactory. They cover only 7 spots that are in the main city which is pretty much like any other city without greenery. You have to pay double the amount to see the main viewpoints and get the hill station feel. We infact covered only 2-3 points and they were asking to pay extra for the third point which was not in their 7 point sight seeing but was very closeby to their hotel and to remaining sight seeing places.

They did not provide us breakfast (which was included in our booking) on the last day even after we had informed them prior about out checking out time.

Personal Experience:

The owners, a couple fought in front of us twice because they couldn't decide on the rate for a few things . So the experience wasn't very great. The staff (a young boy) they have hired is very nice, though there is too much work for just one person , i guess that's why the place is so ill maintained.

Suggestion:

Book this place if you're really broke or don't plan on staying inside too much
.
Prefer booking a cab from outside, there are many if you ask around.

Carry your own bed sheet to put under the blankets.

Don't book the place if you have old individuals with you.

Don't book the place if you're looking for a relaxing getaway.

All the negatives made our stay in Darjeeling really not enjoyable and start of the day and end of the day was not good so our whole day went with a bad mood.

I would not recommend booking this hotel at all , i am not sure how the hotel has got good reviews before.
