nice property to stay. had a comfortable stay. staff courteous. nice food and well maintained rooms. would certainly advice a stay. the only problem was the noise which one hears from the road even during late night.
      

The Hotel Leela Regency is located at a stone's thow away from the Shimla inter-state bus terminus and the Shimla mountain railway station overlooking the huge green valley from its entrance. The rooms have all Basic amanities like  Coffee Maker, Mini Fridge, Room Heater cum Airconditioner, decent queen sized bed with a coffee table and chairs, huge storage space. However the size of the room is little small compared to other Hotels and which is compensated with its close proximity to the Mall Road and the public Transport system. The bathroom has Basic toiletries and towels along with a geyser for hot water but strictly time based. There is no balcony but the Wall to Wall Room Window provides a simply awesome  and breadthtaking view from hotel if you have got the rooms overseeing the valley and Shimla town. The Restaurant was big and buffet menu served was extensive with an equal mix of north-Indian, south-india and continental cuisine. The Parking is a Problem during Peak season.

JP 138803254 - Hotel leela regency is a very good hotel it was my Honeymoon, a trip with my love of my life, we both enjoyed a lot, hotel staff was so cooperative, honeymoon arrangement was arranged in such a relaxing and enjoyable, all the visiting palace nearby the hotel made the trip more exiting so we don't need to waste or precious time on travelling and we were able to enjoy the surrounding, view from my room was such a pleasant which really made my morning fresh,
 I would like to thank the staff of the hotel for the good arrangement and cooperativeness

Amazing exprience

nice & decent stay

Shimla is winter capital of himachal pradesh and also a great tourist destination in north india.There is famous places to visit like mashobra,kufri,naaldera and advance study.There is all facilities for traveller like railway station,air-port etc.

Hill queen-Shimla

It was our first trip to shimla, we moved towards Shimla from Chandigarh through a Private Taxi at 11pm in night and reached Shimla at 1am. It was quite cold in the Month of January and as we reached towards the entrance of Mall Road, we are fully covered by Himachal Tour Providers or you can say local guys who misuse people by taking to their fix comission hotel. We refused their offer and told our driver to take us to Hotel Surya, as we made our booking there, but as its located on top, Car was not allowed there, so we walked down with Local Tourist Guides and they took our luggage automatically, As we reached Hotel Surya, no one was willing to open the entrance as Receptionist was sleeping, after 10 minutes banging the door he opened and told in a very arrogant way that No Rooms Available, i think he was in a great sleep. We left with no Options now so had to go with local tourist guides and they took us to The Hotel Leela Regency, location was very nice just 5 minutes walk down towards the main mall road. After a smooth check in we got a package of 14,500/- on CP plan (Breakfast) for 3 Nights/4 Days which includes Sightseeing even. As it was off season so the rates are relatively very low. But we dont know which room was given to us. It was cold and no heaters were provided by the Management, no extra blankets even. Room was fine not good as it was rated as 3.5 star hotel. Dust was there everywhere on Floor, Furniture, TV and everywhere. But the Morning view was breathtaking. Only good thing on our trip was the view from our room. Washroom was not cleaned properly with no Hot Water, we are getting Hot Water Buckets, which i think not a good sign for 3.5 star hotel. Sightseeing was done in a good manner, a good breakfast in the room with freash juice. Lunch and Dinner is very costly so avoid it. One thing we noticed that whenever we came to Reception, we found Receptionist Sleeping and Dull or else listening music by plugging earphones. Thats not we expect from 3.5 star hotel. As we was having an abundant luggage, we requested Management to drop to Bus Stand as it was raining, they refused and told us to pay 600rs more for that, just for 45 steps down. Bad Service. Bad Hotel. Worst Experience.
