I loved the experience. The staff very helpful specially lakshay at front desk. He allowed us to do early check in because they had the room available. I liked the food we ordered. The location of the hotel is fantastic. It’s in main Shimla. Few steps away from Oberoi Cecil. We took the room with valley view and really enjoyed the stay. I love the architecture of the property. The way it’s built is cute and impressive.

From the start till the end our stay was just amazing. We had booked 2 rooms for our stay. 
I have been speaking to the owner from the time I decided to book this property and booked directly with them . 
From the owner to the management everyone was super helpful and extremely polite. They even gave me a surprise by upgrading one of the rooms at the same cost I paid them.

The food was amazing . Served with utmost cleanliness. 

The property was at a very convenient place . Everything that one would wantnat to see is within a radius of 2.5 km

I booked this place for my parents who are senior citizens now...and like many other Punjabis equipped with knee issues.. So this place was a choice due to its close proximity to railways station (not more than 5 mins by cab). The staff was so courteous that they booked the room at ground floor (on request, without any hassles) owing to parents's old age... The rooms were elegant - spacy and classy with beautiful wooden furniture... Food as described by my parents was awesome... the hotel being located on VIP road is never busy.... Besides this the scenic beauty is also awesome... Valleys are also visible from the rooms.. We would definitely look forward to book a rooom for our stay with this hotel in future as well...

One of the best drive-in properties in Shimla at an excellent location. Had a very pleasant stay. Very good service and amazingly cooperative staff. The hotel is very well maintained and the food is sumptuous. Got a chance to have a conversation with the owner who happened to be very cordial and hospitable. Overall I had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Wingait Inn and Im really looking forward to visit again on a personal trip with family and friends.

Ever since COVID HIT this was my first trip out of Gurgaon.

THE FIRST CALL:
I called Mr Bansal (he is a part of the top management) so many times with various questions I had and each time I was greeted with a smile but that was not all. He guided my up to the hotel when I lost my way.

CHECK IN:

At check-in I was greeted by Mr Banerjee. A person with a contagious personality and ever smiling. 

He mentioned about the protocols they follow related to covid which was in line with the government.

I was greeted with a surprise upgrade to their executive room with valley view whereas I had booked 2 delux rooms. To be honest all their rooms have valley view. I recommend the rooms on the first floor since they have a better view.

ROOMS:
Considering, it is a budget hotel, I was expecting the rooms to be ordinary but it was just classy and the fact that it has a vintage touch to the interior furnishings made it stand out.

I got the opportunity to see the different types of rooms they had to offer.

1. Deluxe
2. Executive
3. Family 

One thing common in all the rooms was it's cleanliness ( absolutely spotless). Sanitisers in all the rooms.

FOOD:

Although food ,I thought, was quite expensive, the taste compensated for it . Their chef is amazing . You must try the rajma chawal. I bet u will crave for more.

Staff and room service:

The staff is extremely friendly  helpful . They guided me in every possible way to make my stay worthwhile. Mr Banerjee even offered to drive us to and from the tourism lift for our visit to the mall road.

Room service was prompt and professional and greeted us every time they entered our room. 

FLAWS:

THIS WAS A NEW UNDERTAKING HENCE THE LACK OF EXPERIENCE IN THE STAFF WAS QUIET VISIBLE .
THE PREVIOUS OWNERS HAD MAINTAINED THE PROPERTY POORLY HENCE COULD SEE A FEW REPAIR WORK NEEDED . GOOD THING WAS THAT THEY HAD ALREADY INITIATED THE REPAIR WHILE I WAS THERE. 

EXPERIENCE AND RATING:

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS AMAZING . BUT IF I HAVE TO CONSIDER THE FLAWS, I WOULD WANT TO RATING WILL BE AT 4.7 BUT I DON'T HAVE THAT OPTION HERE HENCE RATING 5

I stayed in this hotel during my visit with family to Shimla. This is very good hotel with nice and cleaned room, geyser, in house restaurant, etc. Staff was also smart and polite while talking and responding to our requirements.overall it is recommend for good stay.

Location- excellent location- a small hotel with parking (can park approx 6 cars) near to the Mall, Mall road, Railway Station ....
Room- clean and well maintained 
Restaurant- very small but room service is good and can serve traditional meal
Staff- helpful staff

Best Location

I stayed at this hotel for one night on my way from Rohru to Delhi. The hotel is bang on the Shimla-Solan road in the posh area of Shimla right opposite Akashvani Kendra. But, this hotel is haunted.

It is a small property and the fixtures are nicely done but are unkempt. The chairs are grand but dusty. 

Me and my colleague slept around 12.30pm and around 1.30 am I woke up on listening the sound of an alarm. I did not set an alarm in my phone, so I woke my colleague to switch off the alarm in his phone. He woke up, but even he hadn’t set alarm in his phone. We realised that the alarm tone was coming from the landline phone instrument which didn’t even have the alarm function in it! So, to check, my colleague picked up the phone receiver; but no one spoke from the other side. As soon as my colleague put the receiver down, the bed started shaking vigorously. We were both above 100 kgs, so it’s not easy to shake the bed with two such heavy people. The bed shook for good 15 seconds. We thought it might have been an earthquake; and went to sleep. 
In the morning, I googled but there was no news of any earthquake in Shimla. When we asked the receptionist in the morning, he quickly dismissed the discussion saying that it could have been an earthquake. When I inquired about the history of the hotel, the receptionist told me that it was once the abode of the Viceroy’s daughter. 
I guess, she still likes to shake hands with her visitors!

THIS PLACE IS HAUNTED! 👹👹👹🎃🎃🎃😡😡

Don’t even think of stepping into this hotel . The hotel doesn’t have any basic amenities . The geyser was not working , the doors are not closed properly , and the worst is that they have a roof top dining but no one was there to seve lunch . When asked I was told that the staff is taking rest , at 1.30 pm whixh is supposedly the lunch hour . The check out experience was all the more bad . They even Cudnt give a slip because their paper rolls were missing when I swiped my card . Worst is the attitude . Two elderly  gentlemen who are at the front office reception doesn’t have any interest in anything and hardly pays any attention to the complaints . The only saving grace is the location of the hotel . The location is serene and peaceful unlike the mall hotels . Right next to the Vidhan sabha , Oberoi cecils etc the place is beautiful . The mall is around 15 -20 mins walk through a picturesque road . This was the only good part of this hotel

Horrible hotel to stay !

We visited for 3days in this hotel,very sad to say Make my trip has recommended wrong hotels with 3star rating ,This hotel doesn't have card machines working,Hotel manager and owner don't show interest while giving info,Very rude behaviour by them,Hotel manager charged extra 500to book cab & took that money,Rooms don't have toilet tissues,washrooms are not cleaned & food was fully salty ..cooks don't know what they are preparing .I would never recommend this hotel for anybody .Very very bad ..if you still want to go ..ask all these details on phone as these people are very Rude , Don't keep common emergency medicines.
