Very good
7 reviewsWe were looking for a good hotel to stay for two nights, and after a lot of searching, we thought of booking this seeing the ratings that users had put in. The extensive search was partly also because we had been staying at almost all the hotels, and many have degraded a lot over the years. The hotel is located in the main market, near the main ST bus stand at Mahabaleshwar, just 5 mins walking distance. Coming to the hotel, the reception desk is located at the entry itself in one corner. The hotel also has a restaurant where guests can sit and dine in on the ground floor. The lobby and reception desk of the hotel is well maintained, and we could see that it was nice and clean. The hotel has three floors; the best part is they also have an elevator so guests can reach their rooms. When we entered the room, we were pleasantly surprised. It was pretty good in size with three beds which is a rarity in most hotels. The beds were also soft, with individual quilts for each person. The bathroom was huge too, and the best part was that they had 24 hrs. running hot water, which we never found in any hotel of the same category. In fact, they even had the water heaters on with the help of generators when there was an electricity cut-off, showing the hotel's care for the comfort of its guests. We also had food three times over two days at the hotel. One is the traditional pithla bhakri, and the other is a full Punjabi thali with some extra rotis and sabzis. The pithla bhakri combination was one of the best I have had. It was served piping hot, and the taste, quantity, and quality were just fantastic. The Punjabi thali was enough for the three of us after adding some extra rotis and two small bowls of vegetables. The taste of every item in the thali was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the same. The staff at the hotel was outstanding too. Decent, polite, and professional. They ensured that all the needs were taken care of promptly. And at a rate of Rs. 2800 per night for three people with breakfast with GST, I feel the facility and room were fantastic. Overall, I would say this was one of the best hotels we have stayed for over the years at Mahabaleshwar. Clean rooms, good food, exceptional service. This hotel is a classic where you would definitely want to stay !!!!
