Moselberg Riverside Cottages

Peaceful and relaxing stay at Moselberg Riverside cottage. The rainy weather during our stay made it more perfect, only stayed out in the balcony the whole time. Food quality was also nice but only limited selection.

We loved this place. But I will also use this review to warn travellers of what to watch out for. 

Pros: 
1. The room view is incomparable!  The balcony faces a heavily gushing stream and lush greenery all around. You fall asleep next to the soothing sound of the river. You can even walk down to the stream (at your own risk) 
2. The beds are nice and comfortable
3. Were surprised to see that TV has English channels such as Romedy Now etc. 
4. Good scrumptious on time breakfast 
5. Provided free bicycles (some were not in good condition - staff informed us accordingly)
6. Staff was very polite, courteous, helpful and prompt (provided umbrella on request)
7. Rooms are soundproofed, so all you hear is the tranquil stream sounds 
8. It is a clean, well-maintained property 

Cons / watch out for:
1. If you get one of the lower most rooms (like we did - no. 209), be prepared to walk up and down for breakfast, and basically everything. Not recommended for elderly people or people with physical health issues 
2. What makes the location exclusive is also a con. Since it is a steep drive down, you are totally dependent on your driver to take you around. The main town (for restaurants or convenience stores) is at least 2-3 kms away. So it is not walking distance. No street lights at night. So walking and exploring on your own is not really an option. 
3. Our driver informed us that the toilets meant for drivers were not very clean, which was a cause of concern for us. 
4. One of the approach roads is in very bad condition. So if you or the driver is not aware of this, you are likely to get stuck on a bad road. 
5. While the breakfast was good, we did not quite like the dinner much. Hence we went out every night.

Very cute, very quiet, just a few rooms, with incredible river and jungle views. Great place fir bird watching. Indian meal delivered to the room terrace. Charming and well-treated welcome. The hotel is located about 10 km from Munnar, away from the crowds, perfect. Our host offered us a Tea plantation and jungle trek in the morning for a few hours, included in the room price, but we had to leave. Breakfast in the lovely little

My husband had surgery in india and we went  through a  difficult time , so we decided to have a break before returning home.  We were looking  for a relaxation package, we found many options on the internet. We decided to book at the amazing Berg's resorts. We visited their website  and made contact with them.  They did not disappoint, they were very helpful, prompt, and welcoming .  They arranged all the details very quickly,  and we got there within 36 hours  of our initial contact with them.  We were so impressed by the location which was above our expectations,  to be honest the resort pictures do not reflect the real beauty of the place ,  and the charming surroundings . The breathtaking  location,  the staff 's warm welcome and bright smiles, and  the outstanding service  not only made it a relaxation trip but our dream vacation.

Located quite far from Munnar, but it's a worth place amidst nature. The cottages are limited, neat and clean. They are just 30 meters from a small river. The evenings can be spent near River which is very scenic. Food is average and limited.

Stayed in this beautiful place with my family . Amazing location but its little away from city ,staffs are friendly rooms are spacious and neatly cleaned .we got a chance to taste the real honey while we stayed in the resort,it was a extramile from the staff to enhance guest experience.View from the cottage are stunning ,the lake near to the cottage was not really full of water because of summer season , Mainly recommand for people looking for eco friendly resorts . No air condition in room but its not neccesery for this climate ,The rickshaw driver came to take around the city tour was so friendly show us nice places

Recently me  visit munnar last week that property locationed very good location with river view rooms , food quality and service was excellent.The hotel  staffs are very helpful for our all needs.I strongly recommended for everyone.They also offer a spice plantation trek is really nice.

Awesome place to stay and relax. Fully covered with nature, birds, river, mountains. Breathtaking view from the room. Loved the entire ambience. Friendly staff and food was delicious. Best for couples to spend time.

We had an amazing stay at Moselberg riverside cottages, but remember that the place is nearly 1 hour far from munnar town. The sound of the river flowing is the highlights here. The staff is very friendly and warm , The food is great too but limited . If you wanna just sit and relax and enjoy the sound of nature , this is the perfect place for you...

Warm and Friendly Experience

Nice enjoyable experience...

I would like to explain both the positive and negatives of this place.
Positives
- Great food
- Excellent ambience 
- Very good privacy
- Neat and clean rooms
- Economical- worth the price
- Rooms provide beautiful nature view, and access to water body.
Negatives
- No morning tea
- No evening snacks (maybe due to covid, not sure)
- lot of improvements need for room service.
- need improvement in welcoming customers

But we definitely recommend this place for family and other trips.

Beautiful place to stay 

Beautiful location and ambience. The flowing river in the backyard gives a feeling of solitude. One can enjoy the sound of flowing river throughout the nights. Staff are good. Cottages need maintenance. Choice of food is limited.
