You can stay with friends and family here. Budget and pocket friendly hotel,Neat and clean rooms.
Placed at center of main market. Good service staff , restaurant also very clean. Food quality is very good. 

I visited hotel j excellency with my family for 2 days in Dec 19. We found this hotel very good in all respect. Following are some key takeaway:
1. hotel is very near to main market. Parking facility is available. Sightseeing taxis are available at govt approved rates.no need to worry for extra charges for sightseeing. They will provide receipt also.
2. Staff is very well behaved. They provide all things on time which was requested.
3. although room is bit small but equipped with all necessary amenities (even though fridge, tea/coffee maker kit was there). hot water is available 24 hours.
4. Buffet breakfast is very delicious and many items are available.

Amazing services, courteous staff, wonderful experience, prime location, amazing food.

The whole place was neat and clean, washrooms were good, the location is good if you want to be right in the centre of town.

The only negative point was that they didn't provide a laundry service, although it does say on the website that they do.
I would definitely stay here again.

J's excellency is very good hotel. Very polite and friendly staff. Healthy environment as well. Playing area for kids and swimming pool. Food quality was good and delicious. Value for money. Must visit.

We had booked Hotel J's Excellency from 27th Feb. to 02nd March 2020 and we never regretted for doing so even for a single moment. This hotel has the the most pleasant atmosphere, great ambience, friendly hotelier, courteous staff, good food. Above all, it's within comfortable budget! The hotelier does not treat you like a guest but a family member. Besides this, they arrange the vehicle for sightseeing without pinching your pocket! The stay was a homely stay. We literally felt , hotel J's Excellency is like a Home away from Home! The holidays spent in Mahableshwar are indeed a cherishable one and this Hotel stay has been the icing on the cake! Bless the hotelier and it's management for their service with a touch of elegance!

We stayed for 2 nights in the month of September 2019. 

Room - Executive Non AC Room 
Rate - 1800 Per Day

Positives:
Clean - Bathroom, Bed linen, Room
24 Hours Hot water was available. 
Refrigerator was there in room.
Food - Indian Dishes are very tasty. Chinese not good.
Location - 15 min walk from Neeta Bus Stop, 5 Min to Main Market.
Room Service - Good. Order takes 30-50 Mins. Clean Utensils.

Negatives:
The Sofa had very dirty patches and stains due to molds and damp.

This will be my first choice for next visit to Mahabaleshwar.

It is in the main market area. Room was clean but a little cramped. Bed-sheets and pillow were neat although there was some issue with the bathroom equipment, they needed to be properly fixed. All in all good experience.You would not be disappointed.

Worst experience!! Very very small rooms. Just enough space to fit a double bed. And these people call it a deluxe room. God knows what economy room would be like!!

In one word, "TERRIBLE". Rate is 3500. Better put in a thousand more and book better 3/5 star hotels. Far Better hotels are available at cheaper or comparable rates!!
