431 reviewsWhen it's good, you have to say so. And when it's fabulous, too. Which is the case with this hotel, which is certainly the best value for money in the city. The manager and his team are adorable - but that's very often the case in Ladakh. The hotel is the quietest I've stayed in Leh, a town where stray dogs spend their days sleeping and their nights barking: here, I heard absolutely no noise whatsoever, it was super quiet. Also, the insulation in the rooms seems very good - traditional beamed ceilings. The shower is one of the best I've had in 3 weeks in India. The room is heated (quietly, by a modern heater), which is also not the case everywhere in Leh. The decoration of the rooms is elegant and sober: no white neon which is omnipresent in India, a bay window overlooking the terraced garden lets the light in very nicely. The breakfast is excellent - and included. In short, the best for a price that defies all competition.
