Hotel Victoria

I loved the location of this Hotel mainly for its location. it is right on top of the sea shore at a height of 40 ft, and  on the national high way at Thalassery, connecting calicut and Kannur. The view of the Arabian sea from the restaurant at the rear of the hotels is awesome. We, a group of family friends engaged a small get together in the evening at this location. it was a wonderful and leisure evening we had spent there. We had some snacks and drinks. We had friendly service from the staff. Liqour is also served here

Hotel with Excellent location at Thalassery, right on top of the sea shore

Situated on National Highway between Thalassery and Kannur, near Cort complex Thalassery. This hotel will amply suite the needs of a weary traveller who had enough of mad traffic between Calicut and Mangalore. 
Pros
(1 & only) view of the Arabian sea from your balcony
Cons
1. Slow check in
2. Musky and dark interiors.
3. Poor room service
4. Cracked walls and peeling paint
5. Stained furniture.
6. Poor and slow break fast service.
7. Totally absent net connection. 
8. Poor check out service.

Stayed at Hotel Victoria for one night. On arrival they could not find my booking over internet. No complementary bottled water in room. The bath room was dirty with no hot water. There were cracks in the walls and paint peeling. On arrival for breakfast at their restaurant, had to wait 25 minutes for it. On check out their POS machine was not working and had to find cash to pay them. AND THEY FORGOT TO GIVE ME MY BILL.

I will not recommend this Hotel for tourists.

Pit stop Hotel

The room was great overlooking the sea and has a balcony with fantastic view, but there are hardly any service available. The first thing to notice is the dirty run-down condition of the lobby. When we were there, the hotel could not offer any service due to some marriage function. The bathroom looks dirty, but has a great shower. Difficult to get even a chair in the balcony. The decor and furniture are of poor quality. They have a sea facing well located restaurant, but it never seemed to be in use by locals or residents.

Great location, but very poor service

For a seafront hotel, this one was very poor. Externally there were no sun loungers, no external showerarea, hard paved areas almost everywhere, lots of masonry built, steel framed, concrete tile roofed tiki huts. All very 'hard' and not the sort of place where you'd want to spend much time. Restaurant was allegedly Arabic but when I asked if they could do a mezze of such things as hommus, metabel, fatoush etc, the staff didn't know what I was talking about. There was no menu, and we ate mainly egg and cheeses sandwiches plus French fries which was all the staff could offer us apart from chicken byriani which we didn't want. Very few staff understood much English either. Room was ok though and owner or manager did go out of his was to allow a very late check-out and to drop us at the railway station for no extra charge

We are touring Kerala, India, and with 6 of a total of 7 hotels now visited, this is the worse so far.

The staff were surprised to see us there and then let us check in after a wait of 1hour. No one else visits there. Might have been a yesteryears happening spot with seaview bar and restaurant. They are not there anymore.
