Funky Monkey Hostel is truly my home away from home! As a solo female traveler, I always feel comfortable, safe and welcomed here. It’s the perfect hub to meet amazing people and make lifelong friendships. The staff is incredible—always helpful and kind. There are fun activities every day, creating the best vibe, yet it’s also peaceful at night, ensuring a great sleep. It’s the perfect balance!

A huge thanks to Rohit, Shrada, Sofi, and others for being such a lovely crowd. I’m so grateful to have experienced this place again and again, and that’s why I always return—there’s just no place like it!

The Best Vibes Hostel in North Goa

We had the best time at Funky Monkey!! The beds were comfy, the room was nice and cool, and the vibe was great!! All the staff were so friendly and fun to hang out with, we had a great time playing ping pong and drinking at the bar. Facilities were all tiptop and the staff even took us clubbing and to watch the sunset. Definitely coming back next year 🤙

Best hostel in Goa

I had a wonderful time at funky monkey hostel! the whole crew sophie, dk, mushir and all the others are doing their absolute best to make you feel as comfortable as possible! nothing is too complicated for them and I really had the feeling they act from their hearts. I absolutely recommend staying with them! the food is great the rooms are clean! 10000 out of 10. hopefully see you very soon!

time to enjoy

The staff was one of the friendliest people I have met on my travels. The food on the hostel bar was excellent. Milieu was so nice there, I just felt my soul is in peace there. There is nice small beach right next to hostel.

Beautiful place

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Funky Monkey during my visit to Anjuna, Goa, and I must say, it was an incredible experience that surpassed all my expectations. From the warm and welcoming staff to the comfortable and inviting atmosphere, every aspect of my stay was simply outstanding.

First and foremost, the location of Funky Monkey is superb. Situated in the heart of Anjuna,Goa, it provided me with convenient access to all the major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. I could easily explore the city and discover its hidden gems without any hassle.

The moment I stepped into property, I was greeted with a genuine smile from the friendly and attentive staff. Their hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile truly made me feel like I was part of a big family. They were always available to provide valuable recommendations, assist with any inquiries, and ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The rooms at this property were clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. The comfortable beds and well-maintained facilities provided me with a peaceful haven after a day of adventures. The attention to detail and cleanliness throughout the property was impeccable.

One of the highlights of my stay was the vibrant social atmosphere in this property. The common areas were beautifully decorated, creating a welcoming space to connect with fellow travelers from all around the world. The hostel organized engaging events and activities, allowing me to make lifelong friendships and create unforgettable memories.

Last but certainly not least, the breakfast was a delightful experience. The wide variety of options, including fresh fruits, pastries, and local delicacies, catered to every palate. It was the perfect way to start my day and fuel up for new adventures.

An Unforgettable Experience at Funky Monkey Hostel, A Home Away from Home

The hostel is so amazing with all the things you require alongwith such a great crowd from all around the world. This hostel feels like family. All thanks to Rohit bhai, Vijay, Nirmal, Akash and all the staff 💯

Superb!!!

I stayed at funky monkey's for 3 nights, travelling solo. The place was tucked away off the main roads but super close to the coast. The staff here alone make staying here worth it. Everyone was warm, friendly and attentive if you ever needed anything. The bar there makes great cocktails and the kitchen is open late for both traditional Indian food or western, served up quick and delicious. Will definitely be popping back in the next time I'm in Goa :)

A vibey place with the best staff in Anjuna!

TFMH is a beautiful experience to have in Goa. Anjuna is a very convenient location for trips to goa and Rohit and Sophie have made sure that this hostel is a very homely stay for all kinds of travellers. Really appreciated the mixed crowd (found some friends to rage with till 9 am) , Akash's dips and Abbotinis, Ara's warm and  welcoming smile. Rohit and Sophie are kind and helpful beyond expectations. Every day I felt like I was having table conversations with my own family whenever I had meals at the hostel (which was most of the time) THEIR BURGER IS A MUST TRY! 
My room was clean, spacious and very comfortable and cozy. 
Needless to say, everybody went out of their way for multiple things just to make sure I didn't experience discomfort at any point. 
Louis was also a great talker, he can take you anywhere you want in the taxi! 
Also, despite drinking cocktails all day, my tab at the hostel was shockingly very very reasonably priced. 
This was definitely one of my fave solo trips to goa, and I'm always coming back to The Funky Monkey Hostel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 

The people make the place 100x better 

The service was excellent and the rooms were cozy and the atmosphere was refreshing. Vijay helped us a lot while booking the room getting a bike for rent and was very welcoming. It's a must visit hostel within the budget.

Our stay for a day

When I visited Funky Monkey there was a 10pm curfew in place in Goa, imposed by the government. This meant no excessively loud parties or music outside after 10pm. Whilst this was a little surprise initially, we quickly realised this wasn’t so bad at Funky Monkey. Myself and a bunch of fellow solo travellers ended up staying much longer than planned! I believe that is testament to a lovely hostel and those who work hard there. 

The staff managed to facilitate plenty of fun despite the restrictions, and we had a great time. There seems to be a good balance between all aspects of the hostel experience here - you can have a good time with your new found pals, go exploring, eat some good food at the hostel or somewhere nearby (fish thali at Sahil’s is out of this world and only a short walk away), or chill out and generally just have an awesome time.

The communal bar and lounge areas are big but cosy with plenty of room for several groups. It’s very inviting for socialising and functions well. There’s an abundance of rescued animals lounging around, soaking up the affection offered to them! Otherwise they just happily laze around in the sun, or sing along during open mic night.

The dorms are as expected and serve their purpose. The ladies dorm shower did require a particular nack to activate the hot water but this was easily resolved by a query to staff.

The staff are so friendly, accommodating and helpful. All super chilled but attentive - nothing is too much trouble. Big up to the kitchen staff for making delicious food. Staff really make the difference at hostels, and these guys are a cut above the rest. Big up Shraddha for the lovely morning coffee chats, Musir for the amazing cocktails and endless smiles, and Rohit for the fun guidance and impeccable vibes. 

This place is perfect if you’re looking for a relaxed but fun place to stay in Anjuna.
