Clean, quiet place next to the ocean. Looked recently renovated with nautical themed decor.

it was one of the most magical places I have ever been to <3

This place was super convenient not far from town at all, we got in late but when we woke in the morning the view was amazing.

Nice laid back and relaxed atmosphere. Can wake up to the sounds of the waves and spend some time by the water. We were able to see the northern lights from right outside of our hut. A fair price for lodging and an amazing experience.

Lovely stay (eventually) had a hiccup on the first night when someone had taken our room before we arrived! (Not good when arriving late at 9pm and just wanting to get settled)! The staff when we rang were incredibly apologetic about the mix up (not their fault) and made every effort to rectify as quickly as possible. Can’t fault the customer service. Purposely booked to be out of the way and in our 3 night stay we saw the Northern Lights each night. Perfect location (providing you have a car), beautiful clean rooms with stunning views. Already planning our next visit :-)

Perfect location to see the Northern lights, if stats and weather are good (not for us). Secluded area, very quiet. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Wish we could’ve came here earlier to see the surrounding areas. Made it on time just to pack and sleep and then leave the next day. We were able to see the northern lights that night. I would stay here again. Had everything we needed for the night

We absolutely loved Fishermen’s village, and booking through Orbitz was so easy and amazing. The property had everything you could want for a cozy, quiet stay not far from Reykjavik. It was very easy to drive to the city but you didn’t feel like you were in the heart of things. The place was very clean and had a very cute loft with lots of windows to help increase chances of seeing the northern lights. There was a rooftop hot tub and sauna and the staff was reachable by phone 24/7. They brought fresh towels every day. It felt modernized, yet the grass roofs and location still gave a rustic feel. 10/10 recommend this place!

Stunning location in a peaceful area not too far of a drive to Rekjavik. Well maintained, good facilities and staff really quick to respond to any questions. (Our safe had been locked open and they sorted it really quick). Just in case for some it’s a deal breaker- the peculiar 2 x single duvets on the double bed, but we can live with that short term.

Really cute, atmospheric location on an Icelandic peninsula with incredible views! the rooms were modern and cosy and warm, while the snow lay deep outside. We jumped in the hot tub and made friends then into the sauna before a good nights sleep. This place has lots of character and a big heart. We were just sorry to miss the restaurant open days, it looked very sweet from the outside. Only 20 minutes from Reykjavik. We would highly recommend.

Nothing fishy about this place!!!

The property was unique in its location on a peninsula. It was interesting, warm, unique. Loved the in room sauna and private hot tub which we paid extra for. A major con is that we repeatedly had to chase other guests out of our PRIVATE hot tub. No dining options mid week and nothing really nearby. No microwave. Limited space to place or store personal items or food. It was a lovely place. We would returned, but prepared next time. Housekeeping and amenities quite limited.

Check in staff was very helpful! We were very early and they were able to give us some great local recommendations for coffee. Room was very nice and new. View was wonderful. Parking was veey convenient. Location is convenient but also away from the noise of a big city. Our mid teir room was great for a couples vacation

A little out of Reykjavik but a brilliant property. Right on the waterfront and you get a view if the city from the other side. Villas are absolutely beautiful and 2 adults and 2 kids can stay easily. Gives you a good peace of mind. You have options of hot pool and a restaurant as well. However this is off route and you need a car for sure. 

Beautiful stay !!!

We were sadly only here for one night, but our loft room was SO cool, we actually ended up ditching the large king bed below and slept on the twin beds up top to watch the northern lights through the skylights up there. There were really cute horses on the property too when you enter, which was a huge unexpected bonus! It was close enough to the city for us with our rental car, yet very quiet and peaceful set back right on the water. 10/10 would definitely stay here again!

The Fisherman’s Village was amazing. The staff are incredible and the views are immaculate. We stayed Nov 6-11 and saw the northern lights 3 out of 4 nights. Rooms were so warm, and the staff kept the grounds clean and comfortable while also staying in the background and allowing us the privacy we want on vacation. Seriously an amazing place, and if I were to come back to this area of Iceland there would be no question as to where I would stay.

We had a great stay at the Fisherman’s Village! We stayed in November 2024 for 4 nights and we were able to see the Northern Lights almost every evening after returning from excursions. Check-in was done through the Viking Hotel and was quick and easy. Accommodations were great and we all had a fantastic stay. We loved that the village was out of the city and quiet. Beautiful water views!
