Imola Hostel

Imola Hostel was our second experience with a youth hostel, and it exceeded our expectations in every way.  The location is both excellent and easily accessible by car; there is off-street parking, a friendly staff, clean rooms, a modern shared shower room and shared toilet room, and a very fair price.   We stayed there for three nights last August, and just booked again for 3 nights in July.  Highly recommended.

Similar to college dorm, three separate dorm rooms with shared kitchenette and bathroom, internet in lobby only close to town short walk not in center of town. We took a short taxi ride from the bus station. Visit wine area was fun tasting wines

We were in Eger for a long weekend from friday till sunday. Stayed 2 nights here. There was a little adminitrative problem during the arrival: they made a mistake during the reservation, so we did not get a room what we booked but we could solve it anyway, so it didn't cause a problem for us. The hostel is clean. It is very close to everything, has a beautiful view on one side. If you are looking for a cheap accomodation in Eger it can be a good choice but don't wait a miracle from the hostel.

Imola Hostel is a student dormitory which is converted into a hostel.

Plus:
- cheap
- very helpfull and english-speaking staff
- clean room
- fridge and microwave in the room
- next to the castle
- near the city center
- really nice window view (the castle, basilica, lyceum and others) 

Minus:
- if you don't have a car you have to go uphill in the sun
- stinky toilet
- no Wi-fi in the rooms, only in the lobby room next to the reception desk


Imola is a dormitory operated as a hostel during the summer. It's a quiet, clean and cheap place very close to city center. Wifi was in lobby only, but on the other hand there was free parking. Unfortunately no double beds.

Simple story: a stident's house converted into the hostel in the summer. All accomodations are one of three rooms in the "apartment" which has a shared toilet, shower and the "kitchenette" which consists of microvave oven, fridge and the sink. You may book whole aparment if you are in bigger group (as we did).

Everything is clean and I think it is nothing to say more about it but the location and nice price. The hostel is located 300m to the castle, where historical city begins. Moreover - they have own large parking and also the parking is allowed on the main street, which is nice as Eger is rather crowdy in summer and parking costs.

The staff is speaking english, which is important in this country ;)

Good price to value, but remember that it is very basic accomodation.
