Sea Wave Studios

Sea Wave was in great location in Perissa which feels less touristy than some of the other places on the island. sea Wave is a five minute walk from the beach and many restaurants and shops so nice to be able to just walk in for dinner if you don’t want to travel in the evenings. We loved our room which was spacious and cool. The bed was comfortable and I think a superking. Our room also came with a private hot tub which is as a real highlight of the holiday and meant we got the hot tub experience without the high price tag you’d pay in Oia and Fira. The hotel pool was also very nice and generally very quiet. The only draw backs were a couple of things about our room that overall was lovely but needed a couple of things to really feel finished. Our room didn’t have any drawers, just a wardrobe with three coat hangers which for a week stay meant we could only hang three items and everything else had to just stay in the suitcases. There was also no iron so everything that wasn’t hung was creased from being in the suitcase and couldn’t be ironed. The curtains in the main room were black out which was great but the bathroom window had no curtains and with the glass panel between the bathroom and bedroom meant the all the light from that window came straight into the bedroom at 5/6am. We did discover that the bed runner was made out of the same blackout material as the curtains though so just used that to trap in the window each night. Just would have been nice not to have to do that! One last niggle was that it seems like during power cuts and automatic emergency light comes on and can’t be switched off, again not ideal in the middle of the night but we covered in with a shirt. None of these are big things, just little things you’d notice if you stayed there and would be great improvements.
