Hillburi

My dad checked into Hillbury for the weekend a couple of weeks ago. 

He wanted a quiet and serene place to relax and reflect as a treat to himself for his 80 birthday, and boy did he get a treat!!  

He had such a wonderful time and the staff were apparently very attentive throughout his stay!!

We (the rest of the family) joined him for lunch on his actual birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed it! 

The staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was just what the doctor ordered and Eric was just the perfect waiter for us!!
We even got complementary wine!!! It was a really good day!!

Thank you Hillbury for making such an important occasion so memorable to all of us!

First time at hillburi and we had a great memorable experience. Shout out to the whole team and a special thanks to Eric for taking good care of us. Eric our waiter was very attentive to our food order. Food, environnement and atmosphere was amazing although one of our food order delayed but everything was perfectly on point. We will surely come.

There are days in every week when the Head of Kitchen in every home deserves a rest. The Pavillion Restaurant at Hillburi is one of our next best kitchens. They serve what we call "clean food". Today's starter of grilled squid accompanied by a wedge of lemon and garlic bread hit the right sport. He had grilled lamb in a cashew sauce accompanied by wok rice ( very tasty stir fried rice with vegetables). I had grilled tilapia accompanied by steamed crunchy vegetables. Shito and "pepper" (crushed onion, garlic, tomatoe and hot chillies) were the perfect condiments. I took ownership of the coleslaw. 

It is very unusual to announce even before eating that the "meal today is fabulous". We loved it.

This was my fourth stay, but my first since the pandemic...I stayed at the Hllburi almost 6 weeks this time....you could not pay me to stay elsewhere while in Ghana. The staff is as  welcoming, and accommodating today, as it was 3 years ago. The attention to detail in this stunning mountain resort is amazing. The grounds keepers kept the area manicured, and apologized to me for the noise (lol), Thanks to the best staff ever...Daniel, Isaac, Eric,Sandra,Henry,George,Jerry,Maya,Esther, just to name a few . The owners were a joy..genuine, and attentive. Cant wait to return!

This place is just sooo beautifully designed and constructed truly a hidden gem of resort in Aburi. The staff is also excellent and the food is great. Purely a masterpiece. Kudos! The rooms are carefully crafted and have all the necessary must haves.

I’ve been to Hillburi on my previous visit to Ghana and loved it then; three years later and I’m still impressed. The food is delicious and served in a timely fashion by respectful and pleasant staff. 

The location is beautiful. You are met with a stunning vista; Accra, off in the distance is breathtaking (especially at night); the gardens are well maintained and make great use of the local flora. 

On my most recent visit I had the pleasure of being welcomed (served) by the supervisor, Millicent, who is a true asset to Hillburi. All staff have been polite, helpful and welcoming, by the way. Millicent went above and beyond to ensure that my party were well catered to. I truly felt the spirit of ‘Akwaaba’ and this is now my favourite spot in Ghana! A smile and simple human kindness can go a long way, especially in the service industry; thank you Millicent for doing your job so well.

The Hillburi is amazing!!! The rooms, the service, the food, the atmosphere, the pool, the views, the owner!!!! Yes, we even had the privilege of meeting the creator/owner of the Hillburi; a humble, personable and humourous gentleman!  Well done Patrick, the Hillburi exceeded all my expectations! Your staff were also very professional; a special commendation for Charles who selflessly assisted us throughout our stay.  I can't wait to come back!!!

We like to have there our Sunday afternoon with stunning view, nice and delicious food, and relaxing atmosphere. There have everything to be calm, kids corner, nice and clean pool. If you’re veg I highly recommend to order veg burger, hummus, and hilburi cocktail. Family friendly, the Hillburi is a real nice and cool place to hide from Accra. 

W enjoy our trip up the mountain for a wonderful dinner.  Our favorite is the garlic grilled prawns, but many times they are "finished" meaning they are not available. We have never had a bad meal and our second choice is the grilled fish. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere wonderful.

Arrived in less than 40 minutes from Osu on a Saturday. Spent the day and returned on Sunday afternoon.
Food was great, I loved the Middle Eastern Platter, which we shared with the Chicken and Lamb Kebabs.  The Biker Bun with coffee was awesome for breakfast!
The room we had was very clean and comfortable, with a shared long balcony looking out over the grounds and the view beyond. The mist rolled over the hills occasionally, and lots of little birds flew in and out of the trees and shrubs in the well kept gardens. We had breakfast overlooking the infinity pool.
Totally relaxing, would definitely go again.

My dad’s 80th Birthday

The Hillburi hotel is of the fine hotels on the Akwapim Ridge and has since grown into becoming one of the finest hotels in the region. At such a prime location, it is impossible to miss it when using that stretch. 

Like most hotels, hillburi hotel has an in-house restaurant that serves both in-house guests and day visitors. The only difference is the opening and closing times for their respective guests

The restaurant has a warm and inviting ambience. You get chills as you walk in due to the weather on the mountain. They have just outdoor seating areas, which is good for guests to enjoy the view as they enjoy their food. That is, you either sit under their summer hat or their umbrella shade with picnic seats overlooking the swimming pool. The seats are sufficient and there are natural lights, that is the sun.

Amazing Restaurant Service

One of the popular hotels in Aburi. Very beautiful place! The weather alone makes the place a memorable one. Serene and conducive environment with quality customer service.
I really loved my time at Hillburi, from the food to the pool service. They have children’s facility so your kids can equally enjoy the place. Very clean and spacious rooms with quite moderate prices. They have a variety of drinks and foods to choose from. Their pool services is an excellent one. I would definitely recommend to someone who wants a luxurious time spent on the mountains

Breath taking and so natural environment. At first entry you could see most people taking videos or pictures that should tell you the great sight seeing and how beautiful the place looks. I enjoyed my outing there, professional employees, amazing swimming pool, beautiful setting but few rooms, they just have 11 rooms so image the holiday seasons.
