36 reviewsWe had 2 great nights at Gasthof Traube in September 2019. We stayed in a double room with an en suite bathroom and shower. The room was a decent size. There is a restaurant on the first floor but we only ate there for breakfast which was very nice. They have a nice enclosed biergarten area, but since we visited late in the season, this was not open. We were in Stuttgart to visit the Cannstatter-Volksfest, so the location is very good, walking distance to the wasen, but we soon learned that it was easier to walk to the U-Bahn station Mineralbäder and take the U11 to station Cannstatter Wasen which lets you out right in front of the fest. The owners and the staff were fantastic. They do an in-house laundry service for a small fee, which is very nice on a long holiday. My wife had broken her leg earlier in our trip and still could not get around very well, so they took very good care of us. Even running me in his private car to a bank to get some Euro’s out as we had just come from Switzerland and had no Euro. To me this hotel (and staff) is like a gem you find in smaller villages….but it’s in the big city. I highly recommend this hotel and its people.
