Spreewaldhotel Stephanshof

I stayed there for two nights while traveling, and I didn’t expect a three-star establishment to offer such a high standard. The rooms were impeccably clean, tastefully and neatly decorated. The cleanliness was top-notch, truly exemplary. The restaurant serves fantastic breakfasts and lunches – the food is tasty and simple, with regional dishes on the menu. A huge asset is the terrace with a beautiful view of the Spree River and the kayaks and gondolas floating by (the hotel offers kayak rentals). The hotel is located in the city center, yet the atmosphere feels like a vacation retreat. The hotel staff also deserves special mention – the receptionists and waitresses were incredibly kind and courteous. The hotel manager was often visible as well, overseeing everything and greeting guests. Wow! The biggest surprise for me was the wellness area – I hadn’t even noticed before that the hotel offers a fairly large pool and a spotless sauna area. This hotel truly deserves much more than three stars.
