Gaestehaus Guggenberger

This guest house is located in a residential area of the village - or should one say villages? - of Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn. The neighbouring houses are right nextdoor, but as soon as you step inside you feel like you are in a country house. The place is run by the owner, Christina, and her son. They are kind, caring people who do what they can to help you in every possible way. The place is clean, solid and spacious if you consider its semi-urban location. There is a system for everything and Christina explains how things work in a clear, unbossy manner. The rooms are very comfortable, with good showers and solid radiators that heat up as soon as you turn them on. Breakfast is delicious. Either Christina or her helper, a lady whose name I did not ask, will come to ask you if you want something cooked, and they will do it for you with alacrity. There is fruit, fresh country bread and a range of home-made spreads for it. The coffee also tastes fresh and is of a higher quality than that previously experienced in a larger hotel in a nearby location. Christina made a trip to the shop especially to get me gluten-free bread, which seemed beyond the call of duty but was much appreciated. She also took my laundry and returned it with no fuss. And the internet works, and it is fast! Every aspect of this place met our expectations and exceeded them.
