Motel One Berlin - Upper West

Full marks on all criteria. Very friendly and helpful staff, pleasont, if small, room. We paid a little extra to be on the 16th floor - so there was a good view. Very clean. The breakfast was first-rate, with several coffee machines (so no waiting). They even had vegan joghurt and spreads. Their motto is "Love the design" and it is true. Very tastefully decorated. Even the hotel page on the TV was pleasing - silent goldfish and soft, relaxing music reminiscent of "Spiegel im Spiegel". We left the TV on just for this. Taste is of course subjective: we were not keen on the unhappy-looking Hells Angel type looking down at us from a photo over our bed, so we covered him up with a towel. The big hit is the outdoor terrace on the 10th floor. We went there every evening for a drink and a snack. Here too, the service was excellent. It was also open for breakfast. The hotel is very handy for the Zoo station. Would certainly go again.
