Gästehaus Schmid-Lopez

Gästehaus Schmid is a heartwarmingly friendly place. It offers authentic rooms that look slightly dated at first glance but really, they have all you need and are very clean. There's a small fridge you can plug in and use, which comes in handy since all restaurants at the mountaintop close at 1800. We're used to hotels and therefore we're not sure whether soap is something that's usually provided here, but we had to buy some. That's really the only comment we can give. Breakfast is lovely and sufficient, though it may become a bit repetitive if you're staying longer than a few days. Fantastic place to stay if you're looking for a good starting point for hiking or cycling. The private balconies are great. All in all, a big thanks to both proprietors: they're very kind and friendly, and are the main reason why we'd recommend the place.
