What a lovely, friendly, peaceful place! Beautiful situation. Simple, clean functional bungalows. Super host "la patronne" Vanina, great kitchen, pleasant family guests...
Just a good, convivial paradise !

I have been to many places in the world, and can say nothing but the best about Nanihi Paradise on Manihi in the Tuamotus.  If you want to discard the world and enjoy everything that the ocean and Mother Nature provide, this is the place to be.  For those of you that still need to be connected, there is good internet and yes your cellular phone will work.  Vaiana is the perfect owner/hostess, makes fantastic local meals from locally caught fresh fish and fresh vegetables.  Meat is not normally served - but you can always put some lunch meat or other cooked meats in your luggage and into the refrigerator once you arrive.  There are complimentary kayaks and beach chairs as well as a small refrigerator in each bungalow.  Everything is solar power, water is by catchment system, but there is potable water to drink.  This is the way the South Pacific was years ago, and the people and the place are very special.

Arrange a trip into the village and you can go to the store and pick up snacks, cold beers and drinks, excellent fruit juices and other things.  If you want rum or other hard liquors, pack them in yourselves. They are not sold in the remote areas of French Polynesia.  Transportation to Manihi is by plane with almost everyone getting off either in Rangiroa or Tikihau, with you, and a few locals on to Manihi where the boat is the only way around.  Fishing is incredible, and the ocean is so alive.  Nanihi Paradise is well maintained, and during our stay we had the atoll to ourselves.  There are only three bungalows, and you can watch the sun come up through the one window and set through the other.  At night, the stars are so bright like you have never seen before.  There really is no place to spend money except at the Magasin, or depending on who you know, the purchase of loose pearls is an option.  Many pearls are farmed and cultured on Manihi, and sent off to the jewelers in Papeete and other places to be set, marked up at least tenfold, then sold.  Bora Bora, Raiatea, Huahine, Moorea, and the likes are all for tourists and honeymooners pretending to be in paradise, sipping $25 cocktails and $15 beers.  Manihi is for those looking for that perfect South Pacific experience, and the wonderful people that live in it's remote areas.  And Vaiana has opened up her doors to a fantastic experience.  I am already planning my third trip there.

Paradise For Those Who Have Been Everywhere

The Paradise in the Paradise: Nanihi !

I was on November on Honeymoon, the place is really boring, nothing to do and no good facilities at all.
The bathroom is outside and the people from other rooms can watch you while you are taking a shower and you can here all noises.  
The beach is not good, the food is very boring, they gave us the same food for 3 days.
Price- quality the worst place that we went in Polinesia. 
It is really not worthy. Very expensive, for a backpacker type of accomodation you pay like in a 5 star hotel.
We were really disapponted with the owners and the place. We felt like cheated.
