895 reviewsWe've stayed at a few boutique hotels in Paris and this was our favorite. We were there for 3 days. Yes, unless you are in a U.S. Hotel chain, you will be living in a Parisian space (small but tastefully furnished) but isn't this why you came to Paris in the first place? To experience something different? The location is unbeatable, the staff lovely and accommodating, and during a heatwave, the air conditioning was excellent (and this is HUGE as it is unusual). As another traveler noted, the entry does look more dated than shown in the photo, but again, this is supposed to present a "back-in-time" tableau. Transportation is readily available but you are so centrally located you can walk for 15 minutes and reach a few arrondissements, or catch the many buses available. Oh - and the bed was comfortable and the pillows!! Not the hard square ones you often find around Paris, I was so happy! At checkout, the manager asked how our stay was and if there were any improvements we could suggest. The only thing, and it was not a problem, was that the shower head pointed down instead of out so you couldn't shower under it, just use it as a sprayer, but honestly not an issue for us at all. Next time we'd like to splurge and get those rooms on the top floor with a balcony - looks amazing!!!
