This is a comfortable hotel.  Our rooms were fine and a  good size.  We were attracted to book by the restaurant but on arrival discovered it was closed.  Happily the bar served food and we ate on the terrace,  There were plenty of food options and the food was very good.  Service was excellent.

On our champagne tour we wanted to taste something different and we found this nice restaurant, that is very tastefully decorated. On our plates we got really something, that most of our group never had tasted before: shark! It was delicious. Wine service also was really nice and quickl. We say thank you again! Marjut

We booked this hotel for my birthday on our way back from a month in the French / Swiss alps. We took a package of bed, breakfast and evening meal with champagne in room and a tasting of 5 champagnes in the bar before dinner.

Hotel is well presented in an old character building with stonework and wooden stair cases.  The restaurant is in the old wine cellar.  The owners are also champagne producers and sell at reasonable prices and cover their range in the tasting plus Rataifa and Marc de Champagne. 

Our room was in the attic and very pleasant with views over the Seine.  Champagne tasting prior to dinner was very enjoyable ranging from the standard through to the vintage 2011.  The Prestige menu had some 7 courses and allowed a selection from the a la carte menu. Plenty of choice and very good. 

Breakfast served in a room on the first floor overlooking the church.  Breakfast was fine although we would have liked say a fruit salad and cereals but plenty of yogurts, coffee, tea, croissants, preserves, cheese and meats. 

A suggestion is maybe to have a log burning fire in the lounge / bar area for winter cosiness.   In summary we enjoyed our stay and will defniately be back on one of our future trips to / from our place in the alps.

We were invited by friends who live in Troyes to this beautiful place for lunch. The restaurant is located in a old wine cellar and we loved every minute there. Service was efficient and friendly and the menu as french as it gets. We loved the house champagne so much that we bought a few cases on our way out.

In the middle of nowhere so you really have to want to go there, but I would recommend you do! 
South of Troyes and we made it from London easily in day on a driving holiday to Lake Como. 
Tiny village and this is the only hotel. Lovely room and the staff were very friendly. There is a restaurant underneath that serves fantastic food.

We booked this hotel at the last minute because we didn’t know where we were going to stop. When we arrived at the hotel the reception didn’t know yet about our reservation and she didn’t have the room we booked available, so she was very polite and to our surprise she gave us an upgrade without any charge. We got a very special room, big and comfortable. 
The room is very beautiful, clean and with all the toiletries. 
We had dinner at the restaurant from the hotel which was delicious, not talking about the champagne and wines that are  excellent. 
The breakfast is a little poor compared with the hotel and restaurant. 



We always stop at Les Riceys, en route to the South of France, to pick up a few bottles of Bauser Champagne but have never stayed in the village.  This small hotel was a great find (via TripAdvisor).  We hadn't given too much thought to the address - Place de l'Eglise - so suddenly worried about our choice when the hourly bells of 2 churches started to ring out!  As we hoped, they stopped at 10pm and only started again at 7am!

We stayed in Room 3 and found it simply furnished but with interesting beams and lots of space.  The bathroom was good.  It doesn't have any aircon but we managed okay with the quiet fan running all night. You don't get any noise from the rest of the hotel as it is so solidly built and spacious.  The wifi was difficult to pick up but that wasn't an issue for us.  We were happy to pay for parking and peace of mind with so much packed into the car for our 2 weeks self-catering holiday.

Dinner in the adjacent basement restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.  We were on demi-pension and just upgraded on a couple of things at a small cost.  Breakfast was simple but good.  We loved the view from the breakfast room on the first floor up across to the church and the wheeling flight of lots of Swallows!

We will consider staying again on another trip if our itinerary will allow.
