the hosts are a great, friendly couple. We had a large and comfy room, and were well taken care of during our stay. The breakfast was amazing, coffee, croissants and bred aplenty. The kids were happy. Location wise, this is very close to langeais, a highlight of middle-age architecture. I wish we can come back soon.

We stayed at this wonderful accomodation for 5 nights with our 2 kids. Both Dany and Jean Pierre made us feel at home. The room was very spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The accomodation is very well equipped with a separate room which can be easily used to prepare a snack or play a board game. Dany can speak good English and this made it easy to communicate. Our 2 energetic boys absolutely loved running around in the garden looking for spiderwebs and frogs in the pond. Having stayed for 5 nights, we managed to travel around Loire valley quite easily by car including chateaux, the zoo and the aquarium. When we returned from a day out we always found Dany and Jean Pierre waiting for us at the door step to see how our day went,listening with a smile to our kids explaining what they did and what they saw to the last detail. They also gave us good suggestions about which restaurants to visit.  If we have another opportunity to return to Loire Valley this will definitely be our accommodation.

My husband and I and our 3 children were made so welcome here for 5 nights while we cycled to local chateaux. Dany was so kind and helped book us into some fantastic restaurants for our evening meals and produced delicious breakfasts. The rooms were warm at night as it was unusually hot but we could open the windows to let the breeze in (but not the insects!) as there were meshes on all the windows. We really appreciated the overground pool, small but perfect for cooling off after our cycling. The rooms were immaculate and tastefully furnished. If you phone Dany, who speaks good English, she will advise you which rooms would suit you best as some rooms are warmer than others and some beds are smaller. During our visit another guest had a problem with their saddle and Dany and her husband could not have been more helpful organising for the guest to get to Tours to replace it. If we return to this lovely area we would not hesitate to stay here again.

I traveled to France with a group of girlfriends and we spent 4 nights here ... Absolutely beautiful setting, great new rooms, and easy to get to the central Chateaus by bike or car.  The breakfasts were above and beyond those we got at any other B&B - wonderful croissants, bread, local jams, local honey, and yogurt - and the cafe au lait was devine.  I am already planning to come back here in 2 years with my husband so we can bike to the chateaus, relax, and enjoy.

Le clos de l'orchidee is a good B&B to consider if one is planning to visit more than two chateaux' s in Loire Valley.  
Rooms: are excellent, each designed as per themes, very French decor.
Hosts: are ver helpful and polite. Ready to offer suggestions and tips.
Breakfast: simple and fresh. Home made hot bread 
/ jams are to ask for.
Location: at the proximity of 3 kms is the city of Langeis. A small little town with a few restaurants and shops.
Over 10 kms, Chateaux Villandry can reached through the country roads, beautiful fields and green.
Close to 20 kms, Chateaux Chenonceaux.
