Friendly reception, good English,  very clean room, great breakfast on site, beside Buffalo for evening meals. Easily accesible in new part of town, great views, very good parking facilities, very good value

Campanile St Die
Well located for all major routes-great place for overnight stay if en-route to the south.
Usual standard fare in rooms & restaurant for Campanile. Very clean & comfortable. However, outside areas are in need of a little TLC.
Leclerc & Lidl are close by.
If you have time visit the Route des Abbayes:
Etival Clairfortaine-Abbey church built of Vosges sandstone;
Moyenmoutier-one of the finest abbey churches in the region rebuilt in C18 baroque style &
Senones - large Benadictine abbey in a lovely rural setting.

Great stay!

Great Short stay hotel

Self-checking when no one at the desk took us by surprise and we had problems getting in. Tiny room with sink in the room and shower stall opening directly into the bedroom Hardly any space for suitcases, really basic. However, it's the only hotel in Bar-le-Duc, the room was clean and the staff pleasant. Breakfast not included, but served downstairs (fairly basis but enough)

When there is nothig better around...

My partner and I stayed at the Ibis budget in Bar Le Duc for one night. Although you should expect to get what you pay the toilet area was extremely small and the hotel itself was a little isolated. Although these aren't major issues they did make a difference to our stay so potentially worth noting. The cost of the room was good and the staff reasonably friendly.

Over night stay

Basic and clean. Friendly staff, decent breakfast and plenty of parking. Restaurant just across the car-park, Buffalo Grill, is not bad and offers 10% discount to those showing they are at hotel. Situated close to hypermarket with petrol station and other large stores. Very quiet at night.

Good for a Stop-Over

This has to be the most terrible experience ever in an hotel and we've only arrived about 2 hours ago.
When we first arrived around 10:30pm the reception was already closed, we had a reservation number so we proceeded to go to the check-in machine only to find it not stuck mid transaction from a previous user and was totally useless as we couldn't abort the transaction because the machine was totally locked. We proceed to use the interphone only to find silence on the other side. We tried it at least 5 times before I decided to call Accor Hotels number. The person who answered the phone proceeded to have an argument about us needing to press a red button, mind you we were in front of the machine and there was no red button in sight and the person still argued that we needed to press said button as that was the only way that we could enter the hotel and that this was a budget hotel so we needed to use the machine to check in. After explaining again and again that the button didn't existed, that there was an interphone that no one was answering and that we had a 2 year old with us we were transferred to customer service. I then tried once again the interphone and finally someone answered on the other side. This person also started an argument saying we needed to add our reservation number into the machine although we had already explained that the machine was broken. After what looked like an eternity and saying at least 3 times that the machine was broken this lady finally said that she would come to open the door. 
When she got to the machine she said to us, of course the machine isn't working you need to put in your card - mind you we had explained to 3 different persons, her included that the machine was blocked on someone else's transaction so I was really starting to loose my patience here - after saying yet again that that wasn't our transaction to begin with the lady opened the reception to let us in and finally gave us a room and the code to the door.
This was the most surreal and appalling experience ever!!! I know these are budget hotels, but at least make sure that the ONLY way someone has to get to their already paid for room is through a machine, at least have 2 of them as a fail safe.  
I'm just sorry I didn't take a picture of the machine so I could show the person that was arguing with me on the phone about the existence of a red button!!!! But I will sure take a picture tomorrow morning and send it over.
