L'atelier Kara

Everything was first rate. The bedroom and adjoining bathroom are spacious, clean, loads of storage, a extra large bed and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was a pleasure and Pascal catered for all our fads and allergies (vegetarian, low wheat, low salt, low dairy...) Nothing was too much much trouble and we felt really relaxed and at home. The house is superb, very stylish and I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone. There are a couple of things to be aware of, the house is a little out of town, we had a car so I couldn't say what public transport is like. The bedroom is up a flight of stairs, so might not suit people who struggle with steps. The (very lovely) bathroom is next door, exclusively yours but not ensuite. It didn't bother me, I hope it wouldn't bother you either. We stayed for three days as we were making our way back to Marseille to fly home and I don't think I could have make a better choice. Avignon makes a great central base to explore lots of other places, from the town itself to the little mountain hugging villages of Provence with their lavender and sunflower fields to nearby towns of Aix, Marseille, Orange, Arles, Ales, Nimes, Montpellier...I could have stayed here for a month and still have loads more to do.
