We have just returned from the 3 night dashing through the snow package. It was amazing experience. We had an appartment was plenty big enough for our family but if had teenagers with you may be cramped. There was 2 singles pushed together upstairs and one single very close to the ceiling (had to keep ducking) my 9 year old had that bed which was ok for her. My so. Had to sleep in bed under the stairs which he was ok about. There is a dryer in the room and it’s warm in there. There’s a kettle, sauna and cooker and fridge. We didn’t use the cooker as our food was included. The food was plentiful only downside was it was never hot when we got food. Variety of food was one or 2 options each meal such as curry, salmon, fish fingers, chicken crispy tenders, veg, mash, pasta, rice or chips and one dessert. Their hot chocolate was lovely. We mostly stuck to the full board but had a glass of wine with dinner and one beer which was 20euros so bit pricey. There is nothing around but the activities keep you really busy so nothing around was good. Small supermarket, pub and sport shop 3 min walk over the road. We loved the sledging was so much fun. The activities included were good husky ride was good fun, reindeer ride to Santa was brilliant. Santa was amazing although I feel he is getting very old now did get bit muddled at times but the elves helped him out. My kids were amazed at how the elves knew what they wanted and their names. The travel from airport was long took us almost 3 hours due to having to wait for the other buses to come down the road from the suit collection suits were great, boots were ok. My daughter wore her own in the end but the rest of us used theirs and was good enough, my feet got bit cold some days but I put 3 pairs socks on one thermal and had the hand warmers and stuck them into the boot they worked a treat. Def get waterproof mittens they were great never got cold hands with them on. Take snoods as face can get very cold, I wore a ski jacket under my snow suit so I always felt warm enough. Take snacks if have kids that like to snack as will be cheaper. Mine were ok as kept busy. The airport is tiny which as your not in long is ok. There is a little shop in the airport which sells some snacks and then souvenirs but that’s it. Tea sun was great as we got a little pack up for the coach journey back to airport. We also got meals on the plane which was a bonus. We paid to do the reindeer northern lights personally not worth it was £85 each and we walked along the lake being pulled by reindeer which was lovely and we saw the northern lights which was amazing but wasn’t worth that amount of money. We also did the ice fishing. This was really good we was out almost 3 hours husband drove the snowmobile whilst me and the kids sat in a sleigh covered with fur blanket. Got out onto the ice lake and drilled into it. Didn’t catch any fish but was the experience that was good. Overall amazing stay. Once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget.

We went for the three night stay and were accommodated in one of the apartments. I'll start there. I didn't really look into the alternative accommodations as I just booked through an agent and took what was offered. Having since reviewed this, the apartments are fine and come with a kitchen, hairdryer, towels and your own sauna. Four of us in there was a little cramped but then we didn't spend that much time in there. If we ever go again, I'll book one of the cabins. For a little extra, I think it would be worth it. 

On arrival, the airport is tiny and passport control was pretty quick. You are then shown by your reps to the coaches and driven 45 minutes to where you collect your suit and boots. The suits are definitely needed. Unfortunately my boots were quite ill fitting and I reverted to my own fleece lined boots. In fact, our whole family changed back to our own boots. You will need snow/thermal boots, but I would definitely advise getting your own.  There is then another hour and a half drive to the resort.  It is worth it!!

We didn't arrive till really late as our flight was delayed by nearly an hour.  However, we were still given dinner on arrival but then it was straight off to bed. 

The next morning we had the Husky sled ride.  I was a little disappointed with this as it only lasted twenty minutes.  We were sold the package as full length tours and had been told this was an hour.  The trip is an out and back across the lake which, if you do it at the right time of day, has some stunning views. I'll admit it was bitterly cold (-21) and my kids couldn't have taken much more than twenty minutes, but I do feel they could improve on the sled ride by taking a more interesting and longer route. 

The afternoon we had the Snowmobiling. Again, this is an out and back across the lake, however I found this really good. As the driver or passenger, you feel like you are doing something more and with there still being some light, the views were good and it takes some concentration whilst driving. 

The final day was the Reindeer sled ride to meet Santa. Wow. The Snowmobile to get to the Reindeer is cool and the sled ride being pulled by Reindeer is an experience. Meeting Santa was superb. He knew my kids names, their hobbies and exactly what they wanted for Xmas. We spent the rest of the day sledding and myself and my daughter had great fun going from a 90 degree sauna to running around outside in our swim gear in -22 degrees. 

To top it all off, the Northern Lights came out on the final evening and we spent the evening in the Lakeside Hut with a roaring fire and some wine. The kids toasted marshmallows and we all had a great time.

I came away from this looking at next years bookings. I'm still tempted, but I wouldn't want to go again and find it wasn't as good. I'll stick with the memories I have!

The resort is small and remote ( which I loved). There is a supermarket across the road that has everything you would need including an alcohol section and a sports section in case you forget anything. 

Food is basic but good and plentiful. Staff and reps were really friendly and helpful and couldn't fault them. Special thanks to Craig for helping us to get the fire going on the final evening. 

Top tip - if you want a decent sled run, head out of the resort, turning right onto the main road. Walk for about ten minutes until you cross a small bridge. About thirty metres after this, there is a small brown sign pointing across the otherside of the road. If you follow this, there is a footpath heading up towards the nature centre. Once at the Nature centre, head around the back and you will find a road that is closed to traffic. I'd guess this is about a hundred and fifty metre sled run which we spent ages at. Great fun!!!



AMAZING!!!

Went for the lapland visit to Santa with grandson. Staff excellent friendly and really helpful.
Couldn't fault them. Food delicious.
Did the husky sledge ride and snow mobile adventure. They really looked after us making sure we were well dressed for the -20° temperatures, even saw the northern lights..awesome experience. Our cabin was well appointed, warm and had a sauna!!
Very comfortable and cosy especially after a cold days adventures...so glad we did this 
It was grandsons 8th birthday and they made it special for him.
Would happily go again with family as its geared up for families and children. 
Flight over was just over 3 hours but comfortable flying charter with Enter airlines, and about 2 hour transfer to the resort in the northern tip of Finland (in the Arctic circle!!)  One minor downside, daylight hours are very short, light about 9:30 ish til around 2:30 ish but minor as we made many friends and had some great times.


Wonderful Christmas time...

just returned after a 3 night stay. Stayed home b the basic Mala cabin but it had everything we needed. Was warm all day/night had own sauna and everything you need (even had a washing machine).

 All excursions were even on site or near by

Only thing to note is we went full board but I would say this doesn’t cater for young children. You had one option for each meal. For example one day the tea option was Salmon steak and boiled potatoes. This is fine but not for a young child. So you end up paying for pizza. That isn’t cheap. 

Had a brilliant time. 

Transun Dashing through the snow

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was perfect with a sauna, and all thoug we visited in between seasons there was all we could ever want very close by.  It was perfect! The staff was extreemly helpful and easy to reach. And all was crispy clean. Our first time in Finnland and certenly not the last. Thank you! 🤍

Nice and cozy cabin

We were fortunate to have one of the new two-person huts with very modern furnishings. Great design, great furnishings, right for comfort and also well suited for a stay of several days (1 day for hiking, 1 day ship to the triangle FIN - NOR - SWE, 1 day beach). The breakfast on offer is varied and delicious at an absolutely reasonable price. It was very nice here, including reindeer.

Reindeer at the door

Very nice apartment, super conveniently equipped and very quiet. The dinner at the restaurant was very tasty, breakfast we ate in the apartment ourselves. From the resort you can find some hiking trails and also by car you can quickly get to other hiking areas. I highly recommend :-)

Nice plant Good fruit garden, unfortunately without orange juice chalet hearty and functional, unfortunately the heating fought against the very cold nights very friendly staff parking just before the chalet started problems with the castle, then we were shown how and there was the problem solved

Miraculous plant

Very nice wooden apartment by the lake, full of kitchen accessories and dishwashers. Comfortable beds, quiet area. Wi-Fi working. We had the sauna in the house but we couldn't use it. Nearby there are a couple of pubs, a supermarket and the gas station.

One night

Having a cabin just for me and my husband to relax and enjoy the white view was an amazing break in the middle of a super busy trip. We enjoyed the nice and quiet in a beautiful cabin with all thr amenities. We just ran to the supermarket and were ready to cook a deliciois meal.
The hotel’s restaurant is also great, we had dinner there one night and loved it.
Remember there is no housekeeping included and you have to wash your dishes and throw out your trash. Not a bother to us, but it is always important to know what to expect!
