The owner has recently changed. Rented for friends passing by. Unbeatable price on the colonial area. Very well located on pedestrian street. Clean, simple and efficient. Very welcome with all the practical information needed for visits. A good address to visit the colonial area on a low budget.

Price unbeatable, simple and effective

I stayed in this place - unfortunately - when I got to the room it wasn't like in the photos and for the gas to fill up I had to send to buy. Besides, from the first night I got to the room I spent it killing mosquitoes and cockroaches, that night I couldn't sleep.) The place is a complete disgust, all dirty and dusty. There was no soap, there was nothing, only quantities of cockroaches that appeared throughout the room, small and large. To make the light worse, I waited two nights and two days without light. There was a plant, but the solely charged fish caught it once for two hours and then in complete darkness all night long - and so that the tales of the morning mosquitoes and the heat were a complete hell.

The place is very dirty.

I book seven nights in this accommodation with Booking for 150 euros, I confirm the booking from the same hotel via email. And to my surprise, when I arrive at the place and check in, the girl at the reception tells me that there has been an error and that the cost is 204 euros. Otherwise, I would have to buy a mini apartment for the initial price of 150 euros; when the pictures of the ad in Booking showed something else.

A great apartment! With a very friendly price. Spacy and have everything you need. Private and secure. Close to a shopping street. Alicia was very nice and spoke english. Very central located. I would definatly rent again. 

Regulatory administrator

Location is great for tourists. However....

When we arrived, after traveling for 6 hours, there was no water. We were four adults and a baby. We are used to the water problems in this country, so it wasn't a big deal at first. She said that the pump just needed to be turned on. We waited for 45 minutes.It was not resolved by then, so we decided to get food for the baby.  Got back at 10:30, still no water. At that point we tried to reserve another hotel but it was late at night on Good Friday, an observed holiday here so, no luck. The water problem was resolved at midnight, after we went to bed- without being able to use the shower or toilet. The next day we asked to speak to the owner because we didn't think it fair we pay full price. She eventually called the owner but we were refused to speak to him and in front of our faces she talked about us disrespectfully. 

That is the part that is most upsetting, never mind the cockroaches that were in the kitchen (where our bed was) never mind no AC, never mind no hot water, never mind no light in the bathroom, never mind that we had to ask for toiletries....

The blatant disrespect in resolving a conflict with a paying customer was unbelievable. That someone could talk about us so rudely in front of our faces is unacceptable in any circumstance but especially one of business. 

But maybe it's just me. 

Location, Location, Frustration

The room is very modest but it was clean, air conditioning and towels included. It is right at the beginning of the colonial area. We had some communication problems with the check-in attendant who did not answer the calls (unfortunately we agreed to a transfer from the airport and so the driver took care of it), we had to wait about half an hour for her to arrive.

Very modest but good price

A driver was at the airport waiting for us, for 6 people with a suitcase of 30 euros. They also booked us a driver for the next morning who took us to the bus to our final destination. The reception at 1 am was efficient and smiling. The apartment consisting of 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed was clean, the nickel bathroom was 45 euros a night.

clean and well situated

Very noisy hostel like hotel, couldn't sleep at night, rats and cockroaches, shabby furniture, a bit slow Wi-Fi. No toiletries!!! Never choose it again. Lack of hot water, no reception man, don' t speak english. No windows  facing the street( all the windows lead to the inner corridor), really horrible place. The only hood thing about this hotel is its location in the heart of the city. Didn't like our stay here.

Worst place ever

We booked an apartment for 4 people from Friday, February 12th for 3 nights. On the reservation it was specified that we would check in late, until midnight, since we had to pick up the rental car in Punta Cana and travel there (about 2 and a half hours by road). When we arrived, about 23.30, we found out that the owner was no longer at the premises. We tried to call the two numbers on the sign, one was not working and the other replied that at 4 pm she had written to us on whatsapp that she was leaving, since we were not there. Obviously at that time we were on the plane and we were not yet able to get her messages.

Good location, difficult communication with the owner

This hotel is very nice for single people and some couple who want to spent some times in downtown Santo domingo. The staff are very nice (Carmen) the manager always ready to help 
Some of the room need improvement. The location is great close to everything shopping, club, casino etc
Oh don't forget to check the balcony for watching all the people on Conde street very interesting. 
For the quality of the price I will be back
