Capri Beach House

My husband & I were in the DR for a week for a work trip he was on. We decided to come 2 days early to enjoy DR before heading over to the resort that his work thing was at. We didn't want to book another resort for just 2 days & we really love experiencing island life away from the normal tourists. We found this wonderful little hotel on trip advisor & it's exactly what we were looking for. They don't speak English very well but enough for us to do business. Our room it what we will lovingly call The Hobbit quarters. It was the very top room of the hotel & you used metal spiral staircase to get to it. It had a sliding barn door at the top & locked with a padlock & key. It was probably the smallest room they offer & if you are handicap orbigger boned you would not be able to access this room, but the private balcony...it was Amazing!! Bigger than the actual room but the room didn't matter when you got to sit here in the mornings & watch the sun rise & sit here in the evening & watch the sunset over a perfect view of the beach & ocean that is just a few feet away. Yes you have to sit sideways on the toilet because the bathroom is that small & you have to step over the toilet to get into the shower & you really only have hot water in the evening after the sun has warmed the stored water all day long, BUT this is an opportunity of a lifetime & I'm telling you that you don't want to miss it over something that doesn't really matter. We had a toilet,shower & bed. Didn't need to be fancy because we had a huge balcony with a beautiful ocean view, a restaurant & bar below & other guest to make friends with. It's a small business. Maybe had 10 rooms, so they were not overwhelmed & could take well care of the guests they have. The restaurant food was delicious btw & very reasonably price!!
