We initially planned to stay five nights at El Marinique, but came back for another four. The property is beautifully maintained, and Nicole and her staff are kind and attentive. We stayed in one of the two apartments with a spacious balcony with a perfect view of the sea. Breakfasts in the restaurant were delicious. It is set away from the main street, so there is plenty of peace and quiet. The main beach in Las Galeras is a couple of minutes away, and a leisurely 10 minute stroll round the back of the property is the more tranquil Playita. Las Galeras itself is a charming little town. People are friendly, relaxed, and will invite you to dance with them any evening of the week. Highly recommended.
