Danhostel Tønder

We came to Tonder to get married and one of the requirements was a bill of 3 nights in a hotel. We wanted to find a cheap option and got recommended Danhostel. We booked a double room on phone. The linen and the towels were supposed to be not included in the price and we booked a room without a TV as we knew we wouldnt watch it anyway. When we arrived, we got upgraded without even asking for it, we got free sets of linen and were allowed to park our car right in front of the reception. The room that we stayed in was clean, had its own shower and toilet, a flat screen TV. It was freezing outside, but we put the heaters on full therefore the room was warm and cosy. The INTERNET WAS FREE - paper slips with the passcode were stacked at the reception window. There was a coffee machine at the reception (not free of charge). We were also informed that there was a kitchen and a pool. We didnt use the kitchen and we only saw the pool while driving past - it looked really big and bright as it had a glass wall. The location is perfect for those who come to Tonder to get married as the Råthus, the registry office and the town center are 500 meters away from the Danhostel. It is right at the border of Germany and there are Lidl and Aldi 10-15 minutes drive from the hostel. Easy and quick access to Sylt (by a rail). It was the first time we stayed at a hostel, but I must say Ive expected much worse. There was nothing I could complain about really, keeping in mind the price we payed and the location.
