Bøjden Bed & Breakfast

I am writing this review whilst sat next to a roaring indoor fire surrounded by minsmlistic rustic comfort. Original cattle shed beams hang above me whilst modern chandeliers illuminate their proud beauty....im still here and I'm compelled to write this review. Upon arrival we were meet with Mieke, and her two beautiful (And famous dogs. Which were kept at a distance until it was established we were pup loving humans). Introduced to the dinning hall with an open plan wood burner, a pot of tea and homemade shortbread was PERFECT after our two hour drive from Copenhagen airport. Our room was next and we weren't disappointed! Clean, spacious, romantic and wonderfully warm after the cold of the winter. In December there's not much open. But that didn't stop us. We drove to Faabourg and had a good portioned dinner and yummy beer returning to our very quiet room. We slept 12 hours straight; unheard for us both. We attended breakfast he next morning and were blown away by the spread that Mieke lovingly provided. The previous reviews raved about it and they weren't wrong (THANK YOU MIEKE). It set us up for the walk around the nature reserve/coast. Which I can't wait to see in the summer. Mieke also lives here with her daughter who is equally as warm and welcoming as her mother. We can't thank you both enough for rememberable birthday celebrations. It has been a perfect relaxibg stay and We will be back. :-)
