We were at this hotel last year and It was OK. This year We experienced a big improvement. As we found out the hotel has new owners and everything improved. Last year it was just a good price and just OK service etc. This year it was great, food, friendly staff, the room was really clean and even the elevator was repaired and working.
If you're looking for a good value, this is it. Just the location is not perfect if you like the feel of the city. It is about 1.5 mile from the center, right at the entrance to the town. If you're on a budget, but want to visit the Czech Aspen, this is the place.

Its a nice hotel for the price it asks. Its situated on a road near city's dam, and may be a starting point for walks around the Spindleruv Mlyn. However, since it's located about 3 km from the city center, you'd better come by car to stay there.
The rooms are small but comfy, even if a little cold - the heating wasn't working in our room despite the cold of September nights in the mountains.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, but usually there only one of them, so you need to wait for them if they're busy with other guests.

Nice stay with lots of outdoor activity

I wanted to write "terrible hotel" but I can't..this place is not even a hotel. Shabby rooms, uncomfortable beds, bed bugs, really bad location (30 minutes of walk to the centre of Spindleruv Mlyn), rude staff, overpriced restaurant (fried cheese with fries and tartar sauce for 170 CZK). Only the breakfast was OK - for this place really surprisingly decent. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Avoid

- If you go to shower first you get watter, if not- ... it is not enough watter. No hot, no cold :((( after  few hours surprise- watter. But at the morning or in the evening - sorry
- People at registrayion don't speak in English
