The hotel itself is located near the centre of the town. The location is perfect. The hotel furnishing is, however, rather old. Don't expect much from TVs or to have any above-standard equipment in rooms (except the free wifi with a poor signal on the upper floors). On the other hand, there is quite a lot of hotels or pensions in Janske Lazne and if you want to have four stars, feel free to pay for it. You don't get them in Astoria. But, for us, the nice and helpful staff was more than adequate compensation for less comfort. Concerning meals, we had a half-board and could not complain. Compared to many hotels, there was no buffet for breakfast but the offer was adequate and kids were served extra dessert all the time. Dinners were sufficient - you could choose from two odinary Czech meals. A lot of things could be better but, to be honest, they do not advertise anything that they cannot fullfil. In the end, we have a splendid memory of a summer holiday with kids.
