The staff DOES NOT speak English as their profile indicates, they cannot communicate with them, because their English is rather limited. Cleaning is practically none; I stayed at this hotel for almost 15 days straight for work reasons and I haven't changed my sheets in all this time, that is, to tell me that I couldn't use toilet paper for purposes other than cleaning my ass (literally), since I saw the cleaning lady after hitting me at the door and screaming all that in cheque despite telling me that I didn't live in a checkout in an aggressive tone that I didn't think was necessary or appropriate.

 Negative experience.

The apartments are designed for a family of 3 people. The kitchen is not all that is needed. There is no hanger in the sanitary unit, no place to hang a towel.

Singer pub is great.

It's noisy at night, I don't recommend kids. He lived alone in the whole hotel. Good staff. His own brewery. Very conveniently located, almost in the central square. Public transportation stop at 10 minutes walk. 10 minutes by bus (2) to the brewery Budavaiser.

All right, all right.

I stayed in a one-room room for one night after a trip to Krumlov. At first the room was very pleasant, there was a plate, a teapot, dishes, even coffee and tea. There was a TV, a wifi and a bathroom on a block of 2 rooms.

I wouldn 't recommend it.

I've been travelling for a month and have stayed in many hostels, hotels and guest houses along the way. This place was the best value for money. 

We booked a double room and it was actually a nice, roomy apartment with a kitchenette with an electric hob, fridge  and dining space and a private bathroom with a powerful, hot shower.

The apartment was clean and new-looking  throughout and the bed was huge and easily the most comfortable bed I've slept in on my travels. 

There are laundry facilities and also good WiFi connection.

We had to check in at the bar in the pub underneath the hostel. The staff member that checked us in simply showed us our room and told us to check out whenever we liked. I like this no-nonsense approach. Too often you spend 30 mins checking in whilst the receptionist talks you through everything. This is not the case here, you get your key and you get shown to your room. Perfect for a weary traveller! 

We were too tired to pop down for a drink at the bar, but it seemed lively as it was a Saturday night. There is some noise from the pub but I think if you book a room above a pub you can't start moaning if it gets a bit noisy! It didn't bother us, it was almost cancelled out when we shut the window and door. 

There is no reception desk as such so our only complaint is that when we wanted some travel info and coffee in the morning, we were greeted with a closed door. Not a huge issue, we went to the info centre which is 2 mins walk away.

The hostel is right next to the main square, and at €30 for a Saturday night, we were more than pleased with our stay! 



Superb value for money.

Apartments are clean, although slightly salty, but well equipped (fridge, electrical plates, TV, private bathroom). The pub below is a real advantage for those who want to go out, without going too far, with an underground ample and friendly local clientele.

Had the misfortune to stay here December 2014. Staff were miserable upon our arrival, didnt offer to show us to our room,so we found it ourselves. Room seemed to be unheated at the time [ snowing outside, so we could have done with some heat ]. Nice large damp patch on the wall. Dumped our bags and returned to the bar for a drink. No atmosphere there, smoking area really cold*, asked the staff if the heating could be put on in the room then left for the evening. 
Returned some hours later to sleep, cold room again and lots of noise from the bar. Carried on for hours, both music and voices, plus voices from the courtyard [ smokers, presumably ]. The glass bottles being emptied into an ouside bin seemed to signal the end of it all at about 3.30am
Perhaps the ideal place to go if you're on some booze cruise, otherwise, avoid.

Cold & Miserable

The hotel is located near the central square and all the attractions of the city. On the first floor there is a rather interesting pub.

Excellent apartments.

Very well located in the city, this AJ is also a fairly reputable pub, which allows you to only have to go down a few steps to find a good atmosphere just below (test the Hot Shot shooter, the inevitable part of the Singer Pub!). We spent two nights there, and the manager opened up an entire apartment for us or we were just two, bathroom, kitchen, balcony and bedroom, so total comfort! But I admit that if the room was full, for the eight people possible, a single shower might not be enough. There is a computer connected to the internet in the hall, if you don't have a device, otherwise there is wifi! Very convenient stay and good quality/price!
