Apartments & Rooms Jokovic

This place is a little treasure. To find the Villa, it is located opposite the Sheraton Hotel and the entrance to the Villa is via the steps at the right hand side of Bar Luna. On arriving at the Villa, I was met by the owner who showed me to my room and give me a quick overview of the villa and area as he had to rush off due to a family emergency. He came and sat with me on the terrace later in the evening and gave me more information on the area and we had a nice chat etc which was very thoughtful considering he had a lot going on. I had a standard room which was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. It had a fridge and kettle and some crockery (cups saucers and bowls, a knife and some spoons) all I needed really as I wasn't planning on eating at the villa. It had the usual storage of a wardrobe and side tables and a little table and 2 chairs. It had air conditioning which was greatly appreciated as the weather was lovely and quite warm. The bathroom was separate from the room, not ensuite, but this wasn't a problem for me. It was only for use for my room only and I had a key if I wanted to keep it locked. There was a Kitchen which I believe I could possibly have used but it was locked and I wasn't sure how I could access it. I did see some other quests using it to make meals but when I went to wash dishes it was locked. The terrace, which was accessible from the french doors leading from the room, was so peaceful even though it was so close to the Sheraton Hotel there was't much noise from the street. The gardens are lovely and very well kept and the view was just stunning. There is also a lovely terrace area with a BBQ that can be used by guests. The Villa is literally across the road from the beach where there is some cafe bars and restaurants for food and drinks or a nice coffee while watching the world go by. Srebreno is a beautiful little area. The beach is a stony beach but once you get into the water about 6 ft in, the surface is sandy. There is plenty of water sports activities available at the far end of the beach if you walk further over to the right. It also has a pier area where you could get the water transfers to other areas like Cavtat and Dubrovnik and where I was picked up to go on the 3 island cruise. You can book water tranfers and island cruises from the little sales stands that are located just to the right at the bottom of the steps to the Villa. You can also easily walk to Mlini (if you go right) and Kupari.(of you walk to the left) - 5 or 10 minute walk. The beach Kupari is more sandy although still a little stony but easier to walk on and beautiful to lie in the sun if you like. There is a shopping centre near the villa (at the bottom of the steps go left), approximately a 5 minute walk where there is a supermarket at eh lower level and shops and pharmancy etc on the other levels. The Villa is also very close (2 mins walk) to the bus stop where the number 10 or number 16A buses take you to the main bus station in Dubrovnik and costs 18 Kuna one way. You can also get the bus here to go to Lapad and Cavat. Bus time talbles are at the bus stop. Overall I would highly recommend staying in Apartments and Rooms Jokovic. It is the perfect base to explore some of the beautiful towns, villages and islands of Southern Croaita.
