From the moment we met our very welcoming host picking us up at the airport to the time she dropped us off there a week later, this was a most enjoyable holiday in a unique location with its exposed ancient walls and wonderful varied breakfast of ample proportions. Our host spoke good English and was very accommodating. The city of Split has so much to offer with its architecture, narrow passageways, varied beaches only a stone's throw away from the centre, its transfixing harbour with all the shipping movements, entertainment on The Riva (promenade). The konobas (family restaurants) are well wort a visit. Marjan Park is a wonderful area on the fringes of Spli and can easily be walked (via many steps.)
