Guest House Marija

5 Stars for the location. We enjoyed a lovely week at Guest House Marija in old town just off the main street, near the old port (where boats leave for excursions to Lokrum, Cavtat, and Elaphati Islands etc.) This location means we didn’t have to deal with Dubrovnik’s city steps! Our room was up one flight of stairs, very clean, comfortable, with 2 tall windows and a high ceiling giving it an open feel, but navigating around the large bed is pretty much one person at a time. The a/c worked great at night allowing the windows to be sealed shut to keep out the bulk of noise. The bathroom is small, as expected for an old town location. Good hot water and pressure. The little kitchenette was handy with a fridge, tea kettle, sink, burners etc. There is even a small safe. Plenty of good places to eat and drink near-by. Dube was very pleasant and we were very pleased with our base here.
