Great owner who was very helpful with organising tours and told us some hilarious stories! Room is decent for the cost and ideal for someone who is on a budget. Made our time in la fortuna very memorable! 

I had really good time in Eco hostel.Pablo and other guys are warm welcoming chatty people.Hostel is clean,common areas are interesting.If you looking for cozy, home felling and if you want to feel that staff members appreciate your arrival and to experience great hospitality😁 this is  the right place. Plus hostel is on good place ,just few minutes away from bus station and supermarket ,at the main road on exit point of town if you are heading to the Arenal national park.

Ok, it has no AC, only fans, but rooms are big, you have lockers and a big cool kitchen with TV and Netflix and walls full of fluo messages. The owner is very cool. The place is not luxurious, but the price deserve those little unfinished details. Very closed to the center and bus station too.

I chose this hostel because it was the cheapest I could find. When you enter it looks like an old mall or officebuilding, that someone threw up some paperwalls and called a hostel. No windows in the dorms, and only one floorfan for all the bunkerbeds. So choose your bed carefully.

But then there's Pablo - the owner. A smiling helpful guy. But i found him really sexist! He always blinked at me, called me names, and touched my arm when he walked by. Found him sleecy!

But all in all the hostel itself is Ok value for money.

Awesome for budget travellers in La Fortuna

Cheap and cool

The Ecohostel staff are helpful and friendly, and hostel is in a good location and is good value.  Hopefully there was only one toilet (literally in the reception area) so did not feel very private.  Would be good to increase the facilities so people are not queueing in reception just to go to the washrooms.
