White House Apartments

We had a lovely 8 nights at the pool view apartment with our 2 teenage kids. The location was awesome, it is indeed the best snorkel beach of the island (saw turtles too!), as long as the wind doesn't blow from South (which it often does). The house was super close and had everything we needed, right down to a kayak, some beach gear and beach towels, games, a trolley to take all our stuff to the beach, a clothesline under cover, a lovely pool with nice loungers, spacious outdoor furniture, privacy from others, a well equipped kitchen (fridge could have been a bit bigger for us), a well functioning BBQ and even a lovely dog! The rooms were basic but spacious, one shower worked better than the other and there was a bit of noise in form of roosters, dogs and the water pump, and hot water was a bit temperamental but all in all great value for money. The owner even lets us stay until after lunch on the day of departure which was super helpful and appreciated. If we ever come back to Raro, we'd definitely stay again! We especially enjoyed having our "own" place instead of just a hotel room: it gave us space to spread out when weather wasn't great, we didn't need the daily fight over hotel sun loungers and the breakfast buffet, we could cook at "home" when tired after snorkel trips and the cross island walk, we had an area to sit and play board games without having to spend money in a bar, we could have snacks and platters before going out for dinner, all very relaxing!!!
